What do you like on your tacos?!

Question: What do you like on your tacos!?
I am a vegetarian, and I usually have beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream on my tacos or burritos, but that's a bit boring!. I also have some peppers and onions I could saute!. Now I know those Morningstar chicken strips and ground beef are really good, but just curious if anyone has any other ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dear Manda,
My family and I are flexitarian and we do the taco Tuesdays every week, so here are some ideas!.

Dice up 1/2 onion and a bell pepper and saute until tender,
then to that add any of the following:

Fish and taco seasoning

Potatoes diced very small (no taco seasoning)

Ground soy and taco seasoning

Ground soy and very small diced potatoes and taco seasoning (cook the potatoes first)

Chicken-less Soy Strips diced, corn, water rinsed and strained black beans and taco seasoning
----------------
Then the condiments include the following:
lettuce
tomatoes
cheese
avocado
sour cream (emo-imitation)
and of course salsa: either diced tomatoes or can of diced tomatoes, one onion diced, a good hand size of cilantro chopped and a squeeze of 1/2 lime, a dash of minced jalapeno, salt and garlic salt to taste!.

Guacamole: mash up two avocados, squeeze of lemon or lime, 1 heeping teaspoon of mayo, and a tablespoon or more to taste of the salsa recipe I just gave you and salt to taste!.
mix all together and it is a feast fit for a king!.

Now enjoy! it is soooooooo delic!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Light Life Ground vegetable protein cooked with taco seasoning, chopped onions, tomatoes, and "Better than Sour Cream" by tofutti!.

Mine are vegan though!. I find that refrigerated veggie protein is better than frozen in tacos and sloppy joes!.

Good question and your making me want to make tacos!. I think I will stick to whole wheat pasta, tomato sauce and bread sticks for tonight though!. You can come over tomorrow and I will make tacos!. Just bring something good to drink!. Think lime and alcohol!. I live in PA!. Is that far for you to drive!? :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually make a bean stew (like this one http://norwayveggie!.blogspot!.com/2008/03!.!.!. ), and a homemade salsa (yum!), perhaps guacamole (if I can be bothered;o) - and serve with lettuce, peppers, red onions, sour cream, veg cheese!.!.!.

Quorn or soy mince also work well!Www@FoodAQ@Com
