Help feeding my boyfriend.....?!

Question: Help feeding my boyfriend!.!.!.!.!.!?
So, I am glad to say that I have adapted to a vegan lifestyle!. My boyfriend, who lives with me, wants to support me and try it also!. Unfortunately, he has a very high metabolism (it shocks me how much he eats!) and even though I pack him a large bag of food for work, he says he is still hungry and eats unhealthy crap at work!. This is what I packed for him today:
Large bowl of whole wheat pasta with organic tom!. sauce,
1 green pepper, sliced, an orange, an apple, and a cup of cashews and granola! And he still went out and bought pizza!. I just packed this for him for tomorrow: A large bowl of mashed potatoes (like two scoops) with vegan margarine and a big serving (about 5x4x3" big) of meatless meatloaf (which was very tasty tonight), two oranges, a cup of cashews and granola!. He doesnt like beans, so guess thats out!.!.!.Anyone with a similar problem!? What do you eat to fill up!? He really wants to do this with me, and I love feeling like the "housewife" packing his lunches!.!.!.!. :PWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
i'm not sure but are the soy "meats" vegan friendly!? they have a lot of protein and might fill him up better!.!.!. he's a guy so he does need a lot of calories and the more protein you can get in his diet the longer it will fill him up!.!.!. does he eat breakfast!? if not get him on breakfast! how about trail mix, almonds, nuts for snacks!? hummus and veggies!? add in mushrooms to the veggies (they have more protein)!. also maybe space his eating out!? dunno if he eats that all at once or not, but maybe if he spaces out will help!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I hate to tell you this Amanda, but in a few years your going to have a fat vegan boyfriend, that's a lot of food and it all adds up over time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

okay, here is what you do!.

Avoid empty foods that are high in fats and make you feel hungry so quickly!. Instead cook with more grains and beans!. - solid wholesome food!. make his fav!. foods that have grians!.

1) this will fill him up
2) easy to take to work
3) lots of protein
4) easy to make
5) cheap
6) its super healthy

First, have him see a doc about his"high metabolism"!. It could be a sign of a more serious medical problem!. Not saying that is the cause but at least get it out of the way!.
Second, how big is he!? Or what kind of work is he involved in!? The food you give him may seem adequate for you but in reality, it may not be enough for him!. Calories!? Remember, that in this case, "size doesn't matter"!. A big meatless meatloaf will not be as filling or have the same calories as the real thing of the same portion size!. From what you wrote, I would have a hard time being satisfied with it too!. I am 6'0 about 185lbs at the moment!.
Third, be patient!. You do not expect him to suddenly give up overnight what he has been eating all his life do you!? When he buys pizza for example, it may not be a nutritional requirement as much as a taste and feel good requirement!. Give him time to adjust to the new diet!. if at all possible, try to give him alternatives that approximate taste and texture what he used to eat before or what he likes to eat the most!. I would advice though to stay away from mock meats!. those things are generally nasty!.
Fourth, simply give him more!. Which would you rather prefer: him eating more of your homemade stuff or him "cheating" and buying junk at work!?

Good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com
