Answers:
Rennet - from cow's stomachs (found in most cheeses)
Casein - comes from milk
Collagen - connective tissue from meat
Fatty acids - can sometimes be animal-derived
Gelatin - made from bones
Glycerine - can sometimes be animal-derived, though not always
Lecithin - usually soya, but can come from eggs
Marine oils - from fish
Whey - from milk - (for some veg*ans)
Any kind of lactate or Lactic acid - from milk - (for some veg*ans)
Cochineal - colour made from crushed insects - (though I don't think it is a major concern)
Eggs (for some vegetarians)
Honey - (vegans)

These are mostly found in processed foods!. Read the labels carefully to check it doesn't contain any of these ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

What is a vegetarian!?

We define a vegetarian as someone living on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits, with or without the use of dairy products and eggs!. A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacea, or slaughter by-products!.

You are a vegetarian unless you don't avoid animal rennet and gelatin etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the first answerer has the best list, but a huge one you need to look out for is casein!. its on her/his list, and it is found in MOST vegan cheeses!. i know walmart sells fake cheese with it, as does most other stores!. just look out for it if you decide to become veganWww@FoodAQ@Com
