Corn is a whole-grain!. It is in the family Poaceae (grasses) and genus: Zea (tall grasses)!. It is mostly starchy like grains, but also has a good amount of fiber!. Non-scientifically speaking though, if I ate corn with my meal, I'd count it as a vegetable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

According to my husband who has been a vegetarian for 13 years, it is indeed a whole grain!.

He is currently sitting beside me on the couch eating vegan chili with corn cake!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
