Stonyfield Farm's "O'Soy" Yogurt?!
I tried Stonyfield Farm's "O'Soy" yogurt this morning in peach, and was surprised at the appearance!. When I opened the package there was a bit of liquid sitting on top that had to be mixed into the yogurt!. Is this how "O'Soy" yogurt is supposed to appear, or did I get a bad batch!? Most yogurts seperate, whether dairy-based or not!. If it's soy yogurt, it's still cultured and probably a blend of coagulated soymilk and water!. The potential to seperate is still there!. Besides, it uses dairy-derived substances to culture it, so I haven't personally tried any of the O'Soy line of yogurts (therefore I can't tell you if the liquid on top should be there)!.
If your yogurt is nowhere near the expiration date, it's probably a normal seperation that occurs!. Think back to natural peanut butter, even all-dairy yogurts - any time a substance is made of multiple parts that weigh differently or have different densities, they will slowly seperate in their container!. Commercial peanut butter often has added oil and sugar to keep it stabilized and prevent seperation, but more natural products will seperate!. Even normal breast milk (cow, human, goat, whatever) will seperate and the fat will rise to the top; the stuff in stores is treated specifically to keep it from happening!.

Whilst I haven't tried Stonyfield Farm's soy yogurts, I tend to find that soy yogurt does separate upon standing!. It means the yogurt has been still for a while so the water separates and sits on top of the yogurt in a layer!. The contents settle during transit!.
Give it a little stir, and it should be fine!. I wouldn't worry about it!. I checked their website and they look really yummy, if only they were available in the UK!

I like Apro Soya Yogurts, but I also like their desserts!. They are really yummy!. I wonder if they are available in the US!?
