I am thinking about becoming a vegitarian?!
What should I do!?!?
Can I still eat a few things like turkey and chicken
I hate beef and things like that every once in a blue moon I will eat a cheese burger but that almost never happens
I don't really like the fake turkey stuff but what should I do!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Being a full vegetarian means eating NO meat- nothing with a face!. But, it's up to you, if you want to eat turkey and chicken you can, no one can force you not too!. And you could just say "I don't like the thought, but i still eat a bit of meat every now and again, to keep me healthy"!. I've been vegetarian since i was 5 (weird, i know right!!?) and i actually reccomed eainting a bit every now and again when you first start (i would never ever do that, but again its up to you!)
To keep as healthy as possible, you should eat iron rich foods (spinich, lentils, chickpeas, tofu)As meat contains iron, not eating it, obviously means you wont get enough, so you really need to make sure you eat as much iron rich food as possible!. they sell lentil and chickpea vege patties in supermarkers EVERYWHERE now, and they taste really good!. this is a good suppliment for those cheese burgers :)
Protein: almonds, black beans, brown rice, cashews, garbanzo beans (chickpeas), kidney beans, lentils, lima beans, peanut butter, pinto beans, seitan, soybeans, soymilk, sunflower seeds, textured vegetable protein (TVP), tofu, vegetarian hot dogs and burgers
Iron: black beans, bran flakes, cashews, Cream of Wheat?, garbanzo beans (chickpeas), GrapeNuts?, kidney beans, lentils, navy beans, oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, raisins, soybeans, soymilk, spinach, sunflower seeds, tofu, tomato juice, whole wheat bread
Calcium: almonds, black beans, broccoli, calcium-fortified orange juice, collard greens, great northern beans, kale, kidney beans, mustard greens, navy beans, orange juice, pinto beans, sesame seeds, soybeans, soymilk, textured vegetable protein (TVP), tofu
also- take an iron tablet!. It's so easy, just have one a day, you swallow it, no funny taste, no side effects!. That also gets your iron up :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do it!. Don't hold back trying to find an excuse not to be or you'll regret it when you do!. I was a long term meat eater and then I went veggie and am now vegan and I've never been better!. The only down sides are that people get all in you face about it, but if you are a strong person you won't care what they think!. Now I don't mind if people bring up "the argument" because I know my s#it and I have a responsibility to teach it whenever I can!. also a down side is that it's awkward to eat out, but who cares!? nobody need to eat out!.

That's great you're thinking about going veg!.
As nora said, you wouldn't be considered vegetarian if you ate any kind of animal flesh!.!.!. whether from chickens, fish, etc!.
You can be healthy by eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and grains!. It's not necessary to eat fake meats, but they do make it more convenient to be vegetarian!. Some brands taste better than others, so do some taste testing in order to figure out your favorite products!. I personally love the Tofurkey Deli Slices and the Boca Chik'n Patties!.

How can you want to be something and yet not know what that something means!?
If you are doing it because it is the "cool" thing to be one, that's okay too!.!. but it is not as simple as you may think!.!.
If I were you, I would do a bit more research including the basic definition of what a vegtarian is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want to be a vegetarian you can't eat turkey, chicken, or any animal!. If you don't care about labels, you can cut down your meat consumption and allow yourself to eat meat occasionally but you won't be a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
you need to pull your head out of your own meat eating a$$ and do some research and stop trying do "be" something just to impress your vegan friends at school!.
