Answers:
I think it's more important to buy non-animal tested products and support companies that don't do animal testing!.
When I first went vegan, I would spend so much time reading the ingredients on my cosmetic / personal care products, trying to figure out if any were animal derived!. Now I think that being vegan isn't about obsessing over a long list of ingredients; it's about doing what we can to help reduce animal suffering!.

First of all!. use up what you have!. I still have eyeshadows from a few years ago that are perfectly fine but from before I went vegan!.
Secondly, I personally think it's more important to use products that are free of animal testing first and foremost!. I would rather use a lip balm with beeswax in it but absolutely no animal testing than a bee-free lip balm from an iffy company that most likely tests or is owned by one that does!. But *preferably* I'd like to use absolutely vegan products when I can find them and afford them!.
Everyone is different and some vegans might agree with my opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's about doing what you can!. Cosmetics that have not been tested on animals are readily available, whereas vegan cosmetics can be hard to find and expensive!.
However, some vegans would argue - if you wouldn't eat it, why would you smear it on your lips!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
