Does fruit smoothies you buy in bottles in grocery stores?!
contain live enzymes!? Cause I heard once the fruit is cut the enzymes die within 8 hours, thus making these products not as healthy as the market tries to advertise it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Nope!. Those smoothies have been pasteurized, which kills all the enzymes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Enzymes are not living things!.
edit: How the hell do you get a thumbs down for stating a simple fact!?!?!?!?!?
Read what an enzyme is you dummy:

edit2: The "dummy" remark wasn't necessarily directed at you!. Sorry!. also, I think you are really asking about "live cultures" which are good bacteria present in yogurt usually!. If the bottle states "live" or "active" cultures they are present in the smoothie but they don't come from fruit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
