Tofu is very bland / flavorless by itself!. It absorbs the flavors of the spices and sauces that it's cooked with!.

Here's an easy recipe for tofu scramble:

1 box Mori-Nu silken firm tofu
1/8 tsp!. turmeric
1 tsp!. onion powder
1/2 tsp!. salt
1/2 cup of your favorite vegetables!. I use red and yellow peppers!. You can use broccoli, fresh mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc!.

First, take the tofu out of the box and wrap it in paper towels!.
Press down to get the moisture out!.

Put the tofu in a lightly oiled frying pan and mash it up!. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes!. Add the remaining ingredients, stir well, and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, until the vegetables are cooked and the tofu is heated through!.

O!.K!.
I'm a chef at Japanese restaurant!. Our recipe for tofu is: you should cut the tofu for peaces (cubs) and deep to corn starch all the sides but be careful, because it breaks easily!. After you have to deep fry the tofu peaces for about 6 to 7 minutes at 350F, then it will take a light brown color!. Then time for the souse, for that you have to about medium cup of tempura souse (you can find it at any Asian market or at any big stores) put on pan and make it boil, while it boils you have to mix corn starch with some water and pour on boiling water, don't make it too thick, pour on top of ready tofu put some scallions on top and ENJOY the food ;), any questions let me know!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

tofu is the best if you just make a vegetable stir fry, and then add very small little cubes of tofu into it!. if the cubes are too big they might not have much flavor, but in small enough cubes they will soak up all of the juice and sauce from your stir fry (use soy or teriyaki or brown sauce or something in it) and they will taste delicious!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

tofu is SUPER versitile
