Question: Im a vegatarian, but i do eat fish!. what are some quick and easy things to take to work for lunch, bsides tuna
Answers:
I'm a vegetarian and I eat fish too!. To me fish is more like an egg or a cheese!. Try Van de Kamps fish sticks or fillets, cook them in the oven before work so they get crispy!. Let them cool and wrap them in a paper towel so they don't get soggy!. Refrigerate until youre ready to eat, change paper towels on them and microwave until hot!. It goes good with lots of things like celery sticks, carrots or broccoli!. Usually I will take my lunch to work too! I've discovered morning star farms chick'n nuggets, boca burgers, boca chick'n patties, morning star farms corn dogs all microwave nicely!. Another thing I make to take to work is stuffed peppers: take a bag of morning star meal starters "beef" crumbles and cook that with tomato juice and rice!. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper!. put that in your peppers with some monterey jack cheese and place in a glass baking pan (like a cake pan), cover tightly with foil and bake at 375 for about an hour!. Don't let people tell you youre not vegetarian because you eat fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you're a pescetarian, not a vegetarian

sorry!.!. you saying you're a vegetarian who eats fish is like me saying I'm a blonde with brown hair!. The two are mutually exclusive!.!. you simply don't fit the definition of vegetarian

You can call yourself a pescetarian, but that is NOT a "type" or "kind" or "subset" of vegetarian!. You eat meat!. The definition of vegetarian is someone who does NOT eat meat!.!.

I don't mean to harrass or anything, but for some of us it gets really annoying that no one knows the definition of Vegetarian, or even "Meat" anymore!.!. 18 years ago this was not an issue!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You actually aren't a vegetarian!.

Vegetarians eat no kind of meat from animal nor fish!.

Gosh,it makes me so mad that folk say they are veggie then tuck into a dead animal, be it beef or tuna!.

Vegetarianism is eating nothing that has or had!. a face or a heartbeat!.

Below are some vegetarian sites to explain what vegetarianism is!. :):)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are not a vegetarian if you eat sea creatures!. By definition, vegetarians don't eat any animal flesh and this includes fish flesh!.

The name for your diet is pescetarianism!. Pescetarians eat fish but no other animals!.

Food ideas:

Pita pocket with hummus and tomatoes
Wrap with Tofurkey Deli Slices, cheese or soy cheese, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As stated several times you are not vegetarian!. You are lying to yourself and everyone around you by calling yourself that and by doing so you tarnish the reputation of the REAL vegetarians that are so for compassionate and ethical reasons!. If you want a label for your ego call yourself a pescatarian!.

As I'm a real vegetarian I wouldn't know anything about how to prepare fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i refuse to even call fish eaters pescetarians!. They are omnivores, simple as that!. It's like me saying I'm a Christian but I worship the devil on tuesdays!. Makes no sense!. It confuses people over the term vegetarian!. They are not the same as eggs or milk at all!. Fish are living intelligent animals!. Calll yourself an omnivore or nothing!. Don't try and give yourself a label to soothe your ego!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You're not vegetarian, dearie, and please don't call yourself one as long as you eat fish!. I really don't want someone trying to give a real vegetarian fish because people like you muddy the waters!.

As for what to take for lunch: sandwiches, leftovers, frozen dinners!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you want something really easy!.!.!.i like morningstar's veg burgers!.!.!.so good and a lot more flavor than boca!. otherwise stop at a grocer that has clean sushi!. pick it up pre-made!. i normally find anything i can microwave!. always tuna helper!.!.!.just mix it up with a different fish if you don't like tuna, like salmon, or catfish, or mahi mahi!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are not a vegetarian!. You are a pescetarian!. Vegetarians don't eat fish but pescetarians do!.

Just because you eat fish doesn't mean you have to take it to lunch!. Try taking peanut butter on a whole wheat bagel or hummus and sprouts in a pita pocket!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

FISH is NOT a VEGETABLE!. How many hundreds of times do we need to say this!? Do vegetables have lungs and gills and circulatory systems and internal organs!? Quit kidding yourself!. You're not a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sry but you arent a vegetarian!.

anyways, you can take a salad, bean/rice/cheese/salsa burrito!. Meatless sandwich!. pasta!. Veggie burgers!. Boca burgers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You shouldn't be calling your self a vegetarian!. You are an omnivore!. HUGE difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You're not a vegetarian! You're a pescetarian!
Please get your facts straight!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are some good recipes:

Stir fry- You need cut up tofu, soy sauce, olive oil, steamed veggies, and cooked rice

Get a frying pan and coat it with olive oil!. The put the tofu in the pan and brown each side of it!. Next, add the veggies!. Add a little soy sauce and put in the rice!. Mix everything up and then let it sit on the stove, occasionally stirring it to make sure it doesn't burn!. After about a minute and a half of that put it in a bowl and enjoy!

Hummus- chick peas, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, black pepper, and any other spices/seasonings you like

Puree the chick peas!. Then add a little lemon juice, paprika, pepper, and other spices!. Then stir!. Serve with a pita, with cucumbers, or on a veggie wrap!.

Whole foods is a great store for vegetarians/vegans, so I recommend grocery shopping there!. You also can get a lot of the things I listed above there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love soup!. There are several that are vegetarian!. I like Campbell's Chunky (especially the broccoli & cheese) & I eat it with oyster crackers or triscuits!. I used to eat a 1/2 can for breakfast & the other half for lunch!.

Or you could make a big tray of baked fish & take leftovers for a couple of days!. I just use a white fish like flounder, halibut, tilapia, etc!. Use a cooking spray on the pan, put the fish in, put in sliced onion, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, tomatoes, bellpeppers even if you like them, some parmesan cheese and bake it!. Then make some rice & veggies on the side!. It can last you at least 3 or 4 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, there's lots of different things you can do with fish!. you can have tuna fish, like you mentioned, but you can also make extra of your dinner meals for lunch!. for example, if you broil some tilapia and steam some veggies, save a lunch sized portion to heat up for lunch!. you can fry a fillet and make a sandwich out of that!. there is also a good recipe on foodnetwork!.com from paula deen for a shrimp mold (shrimp dip, basically) that you could make and take with crackers!. it's friggin' good!.!.!.http://www!.foodnetwork!.com/food/recipes/!.!.!.

you could grill!.panfry some shrimp at home and put em on a salad!. you could make fish tacos!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
