Are there any vegetarian shows on Food Network?!

Question: Are there any vegetarian shows on Food Network!?
I don't think there are, but I might be missing one!. I think it's unfair that there's not at least ONE vegetarian show on the Food Network!. I really enjoy cooking shows, and some of them have occasional vegetarian dishes, but nothing substantial!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There aren't any outright vegetarian shows on the Food Network, sadly!. In fact, in creating "Low Carb and Loving It" a few years back, they did the complete opposite!

The closest you'll likely get is Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger, in which she frequently has alternatives to meat featured!. Additionally, any of the dessert based ones (Sweet Dreams, Sugar Rush, Ace of Cakes) are by default, but aren't vegan :)

I agree that they should be represented- I'm not a vegetarian, but I do frequently eat meatless and wish there was more representation for that market! Maybe the next winner of The Next Food Network Star could address that void!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I haven't seen any, unfortunately!. Sometimes I watch shows to get inspirations for meals and then I just make them vegan - after all, us veggies are experts at making any meal vegetarian after a while!. I find it a creative challenge any time I see something on Food Network and think, " How can I make that vegetarian!?"

Unfortunately there's a political side to it all; vegetarians are a small fraction of the Food Network viewing audience, it's basically a channel that's the equivalent to porn for fat people, goes the joke!. People want to see food they like, and most people are oblivious or apathetic towards vegetarianism!. They want their meat!. Most Americans can't even picture a lunch or dinner without it (as witnessed by the clueless questions in this forum often: "I have a vegetarian coming over for dinner tomorrow, I don't know what to do!")!. It's astounding!.

So just enjoy a show anyway, if you don't find it off-putting to see Rachel Ray take a gigantic lump of pork and beef and say, "Isn't that a beautiful baby!?" as she lumps it into a baking dish!. Yes, I am not kidding you, she says that often, especially about her bloated meatloafs and enormous burger patties!. It kind of sends a jolt down my back to hear that, the irony of it, the fact she can even compare it to a baby and consciously acknowledge she is about to eat some animal's child, or rather the corspe of that animal's child!. It just seems kind of cold and ridiculous, though I'm sure she's too airheaded to even put two and two together!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have seen Rachael Ray both on Food Network and her own day time show do vegetarian dishes!. Alton Brown has done some too!. If you go on the food network site you search for their recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I heard they are getting a vegan one in Canada's Food Network actually!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know of an actual show but I found this on their website!.
