Cookies for a Vegan Friend?!

Question: Cookies for a Vegan Friend!?
Are these acceptable ingredients for an "Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies" recipe for my Vegan friend!? I'm making him cookies for the last day of school!. :)

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
3/4 cup peanut butter
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup margarine, melted
1 cup chocolate chips

Should I be concerned about the margine and the chocolate chips!? Or are they fine!? I don't really know anything about Veganism!. And please guys, I'm totally serious about this: Be honest!. I don't want to offend my friend by putting in something Vegan's don't agree with!. I know he wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but I would feel really bad if I added something he wouldn't like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Make sure the graham crackers don't have honey in them!. Most do!. Health Valley makes an amaranth graham!. And the Nabisco ones that another poster suggested are honey-free but sadly contain high fructose corn syrup!. It's crap, but vegan crap!.

For margarine, get Earth Balance buttery sticks or Willow Run sticks because most conventional brands have dairy ingredients in them!.

Tropical Source and Sunspire both make vegan chocolate chips!.

You can get the margarine and the vegan chocolate chips at your local health food store or at Whole Foods!.

And thanks for being a good friend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

- Check the ingredients chocolate chips!. Many regular dark chocolate chips have no dairy ingredients!. The cheap kind at my local wal-mart, for instance, is dairy free!.

- Nabisco graham crackers for sure are vegan!.

- Many margarine brands contain 'whey' or 'casein' which are from cow's milk!. There are some brands that don't, like Fleischmann's unsalted margarine or Earth Balance!. You can use vegetable shortening as well, though it's rather unhealthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have a vegan friend 2 n i know the chocolate chips for sure is a no, chocolate has milk, which they dont eat, u might try looking for vegan chocolate, a bit pricey or just take them outWww@FoodAQ@Com
