Vegetable recipes?!


Question: Vegetable recipes!?
I'm looking for some new and exciting ways to eat veggies!. I'm getting tired of the same old, same old!. I planted a veggie bed this year so I'm extra excited to try new things!. I don't do brussel sprouts or cauliflower!. Thanks in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like green beans with small pieces of bacon and sauteed onions it it!.

You might try it with a Zesty Italian Dressing

Asaparagus with holandaise sauce

you could always pickle cabbage and carrots its an amazing flavor if done right

Tomato basil, and fresh mozzerlla tossed with extra virgin olive oil!.

Spinach and fresh strawberries with a rasperry vingereate!.!.

Tomato and cucumber salad
Six tomatoes, two cucumbers, water cress, a few drops of onion juice, French or mayonnaise dressing, lettuce!.
Pare and chop the cucumbers rather fine, mix into it a little chopped water cress, then add a few drops of onion juice!.
Peel the tomatoes, cut a slice from the stem end, take out the seeds, and fill vacancies with the cucumber!.
Arrange the tomatoes on lettuce leaves, and pour over them either a French or mayonnaise dressing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Asparagus Topped with Creamy Tarragon Sauce
This sauce is like a luscious, creamy bearnaise sauce without all the calories and fat!.

Ingredients

* 2 bunches asparagus, tough ends trimmed
* 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
* 6 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
* 4 teaspoons chopped fresh tarragon, or 1 teaspoon dried
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice, juice
* 1 tablespoon water
* 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
* freshly ground pepper, to taste

Directions

1!. Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a large saucepan!. Put asparagus in a steamer basket, cover and steam until tender-crisp, about 4 minutes!.
2!. Meanwhile, whisk yogurt, mayonnaise, tarragon, lemon juice, water, mustard, salt and pepper in a small bowl!.

Drizzle the sauce over the asparagus!. Serve warm or cold!.

Garlic-Rosemary Mushrooms

Ingredients

* 1 ounce bacon, (about 1 1/2 slices), chopped
* 1 1/2 pounds mixed mushrooms, such as cremini, shiitake (stemmed) and portobello,
cut into 1/4-inch slices
* 2 medium cloves garlic,, garlic,
* 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary, or 1/2 teaspoon dried
* Freshly ground pepper to taste
* 1/4 cup dry white wine

Directions

1!. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until just beginning to brown, about 4 minutes!.

2!. Add mushrooms, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until almost dry, 8 to 10 minutes!. Pour in wine and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated, 30 seconds to 1 minute!.

Oven-Fried Zucchini Sticks

Ingredients

* Canola oil cooking spray
* 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 2 tablespoons cornmeal
* 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon paprika
* 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* 1 1/2 pounds zucchini, (about 3 medium), cut into 1/2-by-3-inch sticks
* 2 egg whites, lightly beaten

Directions

1!. Preheat oven to 475°F!. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray!. Combine flours, cornmeal, peppers and paprika in a large sealable plastic bag!. Dip zucchini in egg white, shake in the bag to coat, and arrange, not touching, on the baking sheet!. Coat all exposed sides with cooking spray!.

Bake on the center rack for 7 minutes!. Turn the zucchini and coat any floury spots with cooking spray!. Continue to bake until golden and just tender, about 5 minutes more!. Serve hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you eat eggs i just made a pretty good pasta, egg, zucchini, onions and garlic dish - baked it!. Oh and lots of cheese, monterey jack and parmesan with bread crumbs mixed with parmesan on top!. Plain in a way but super good for me!. Gotta go eat some now !!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could get a raw foods "cookbook" and try out some of the recipes there!. Jennifer Cornbleet's has very simple recipes that don't need anything more complicated than a knife and a food processor/blender!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
