I would love to see credible sources from whoever suggested this!.
Many of the blue zones, or communities/regions where people live the longest, healthiest lives (like centinarians) eat diets which consist mostly of plants (I am not saying they are all vegetarian but they do keep meat products minimal if they consume it at all)!.
University of California-Berkeley does a lot of studies on the 7th Day Adventists (Loma L) because generations of them are vegetarian and are also in the blue zone group!. Alongside them are Okinawa and even India that has long living communities that abstain from large amounts of meat!.
Soy also contains age-fighting chemicals (you will find it now in some anti-aging cosmetics)!.
Aging occurs by a number of variables: genetics, stress, pollution/environment, smoking, and others!.
Personally, as a vegan, most people assume I am 2-10 years younger based on appearance alone!. Every blood test I have done as put me in "above average" health standards!. Aside from that, I have taken a number of online tests that check your genetic history, life style choices, living environment, etc!. and I have not had one to tell me I am expected to live less than 70 years!.
So, again, I'd like to see some real research behind what this person says!. They are probably a troll!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Genetics has to do with how a person ages!. Such just can't be ignored!. Environmental considerations have go also be made - living in a busy city around pollution is going to have a negative effect!. Something like exposure to the sun is going to have an effect upon the skin/aging!. Lots of variables!.
As to diet and its effect - depends upon the individual!. I have seen some vegetarians that looked older than what they were - seen some that looked younger!. It all depends upon the luck of your personal genetics!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can't explain why it does not make us age faster because there has been no convincing, peer-reviewed research that indicates that we do age faster!. It's like trying to explain why there are no unicorns!.
What I do know is that vegetarians have on average 10 years more of an expected lifespan than omnivores, lower incidents of diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and cancers!. Vegetarians and vegans also tend to have stronger bones (while milk grants calcium, the high protein reduces the bioavailability of said calcium!. Plant sources also provide calcium and magnesium, which together build much stronger bones and reduce the risks of osteoporosis)
So no, I don't believe at all that our diets make us age faster!. There's simply no independent and peer-reviewed research that backs up those claims!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Many people have reported that older vegetarians look several years older than they really are!. also, there is some evidence that vegetarian diets increase the amount of advanced glycation end products in our bodies, which causes the body to age faster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes, it certainly do!. Protein from animals have the essential ingredient to keep people young forever!. like, hormones and antibiotics!. Relax!. Eat nuts!. and sometimes fish from cold sea waters - a small piece- just to add earth energy to your body!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
