Why gaining weight?!
Just became a vegetarian for about a month!. I exercise religiously!. Cardio for about 30min/6 days a week and strength train for 2-3 days!. I eat organically as much as I can, and I take a multivitamin and spirulina supplements!.
My dilemma is that I have been gaining weight & my face seems really bloated!. I don't consume much sodium due to family history of HBP!. An example of my usual day:
Breakfast: 1 vegetarian egg & 2 whites w/ Spinach and Organic Cheese
Whole Wheat Toast with Flaxseed
Coffee with Organic Sugar Substitute (Erythritol)
Snack: Apple or persimmon
Lunch: Salad w/chickpeas, walnuts, tofu, organic cheese, seaweed, onions, and low-fat organic greek dressing
Snack: Oikos plain greek yogurt w/ Granola & fruit
Dinner: Steamed mix vegetables with tofu & brown rice, low-fat soymilk
What could be causing my weight gain and bloat!? I am 5'2" 137lbsWww@FoodAQ@Com

A trip to the Dr!. could be in order to make sure there is not something going on that is causing the bloating!. Assuming that everything is OK, the only way you can gain weight is if you take in more calories than you use!. Keep track of your calorie intake for a week or so!. If it seems a little high, this will give you an idea of how much to cut back!. If your calorie intake is not excessive, consider raising your activity level!. Again, your dr!. can give you good guidelines for this!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
It's all the dairy that's screwing you!. Yogurt and cheese are hella calorie heavy!. Don't eat too many walnuts, either!. also keep track of the calories you're consuming!. The food you listed is great, but if you're eating an entire plateful of brown rice, you will gain weight!. also, if you're a chick, you might just be in the bloating part of your cycle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
i see for what you are eating thats why the weight has piled up eg you stated 2 eggs spinach and organic cheese with whole wheat toast with flaxseeds!. well surely 2 boiled eggs and 1 piece of toast is enough and the snack of plain yoghurt with granola and fruit you dont need to have all that just have a small pot of yoghurt or 1 apple that would be enough and then dinner steamed mixed veggies with tufu you need no rice you are over loading your stomachWww@FoodAQ@Com
Try becoming vegan, seems like dairy is your problem!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
