hi, if you have a look at this website, and scroll down, there is a vegan tattoo that has been done in white ink, very subtle!.

I personally would love a vegan tattoo, I will never go back to being a vegetarian or meat eater, but I'm petrified of needles!
And you could always have it covered over later if you did ever change your mind!
What makes tattoo ink non-vegan is the carrier!. The average ink uses animal glycerin, but there are inks out there that use vegetable glycerin!. The two brands that I can think of off the top of my head that are vegan are Stable and Dermagraphix!. If the parlour doesn't use vegan ink, you can ask if they can special order it for youWww@FoodAQ@Com

I completely see where you're coming from!. I feel the same about most of that!. I already have 5 tattoos, and I'm still inking, and I would have to warn you about your "vegan" tattoo!. I think that getting something on your body that reminds you of what you stand for is great, but I think getting the word "vegan" might not be the best choice!. You never know what will happen later in your life!. I know someone who actually got "vegan" tattooed on her stomach, and then she had to start eating fish because her body was unable to function and digest on a vegan diet!. I think it would be just as personal and meaningful to get a tattoo of a fruit or vegetable that means something to you so you still show your love for the raw foods you thrive off of, it's more artistic, and you never have to worry about getting sick of apples, right!? I wish you the best of luck with your tattoo, the experience can be so cleansing :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
hmmm i think you should do what you believe is right for you!. the thing with tattoos is, they are very personal!. i have 4 and they might not mean anything to anyone else, but they each have a special story and meaning to me!. that said, i have wanted to get tons of tattoos and ultimately been glad i decided against it!. when i first got into vegetarianism/veganism/animal rights, i wanted to get a tattoo that in retrospect, was a little too PETA ish for my comfort now, and i'm glad i didn't!. personally, i would say make sure you've been vegan for at least 4 or 5 years!?
also, what was that stupid guy talking about who posted earlier that not everyone who is vegan is vegetarian!? actually yes, everyone who is vegan is vegetarian but not everyone who is vegetarian is vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know you only wanted the opinions of non-dairy eaters, but I'd like to pass along my 2 cents worth anyway!. You DID know that there are people who are vegan who are not vegetarians, right !? And the opposite is true!. Not all vegetarians are vegan!. That fact alone would make your choice to announce that you don't eat dairy by way of something as permanent as a tattoo a bit anti-climactic, almost comical!.!. even embarrassing!. You're talking about doing something forever!. NOTHING is forever!.!.!. except that tattoo!. Did you ever consider that later in life some sort of serious medical condition that might require you to to eat dairy!? I'm not saying meat!. You never know what life will bring you!.
If you want a tattoo so badly, make sure it's something maybe a lot less common (your reason, not the tattoo itself), maybe something more personal (again, that's about as common as dirt!.!.!. I know LOTS of vegans, some of whom are not vegetarians), or fun, or even more creative!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i don't like the idea but i don't like the idea of tattoos in general because of the permanence of them!. you never know what will happen in life!. i'm a veg now and plan to be one forever, but i can't predict the future!. i may become pregnant and need to eat meat!. i may move to a farm area and eat meat from my own farm now and then!. i may just change my opinions!. who knows!. you can plan on a lot of things but you never know what will happen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
i wouldnt actually write vegan!. it would be so much cooler to get some sort of symbol or picture to convey that message!. plus, it would help you let others know what you stand for!. if i was walking down the street and i just saw VEGAN, i would keep walking and think you were really odd, but if you had, say a picture reflecting animal rights i would be intrigued to ask you what your tattoo means, and then what you tell me may change my mind on my meat-eating life style!. good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Tatoo inks were undoubtedly tested on animals
go for it
no person in the world will see that tatoo and think "oh yeah, thats nice", they will all think "pratt"
It seems to me you are more for yourself than animal rights!. If you really are vegan for animal rights, use the money to reduce cruelty, not to adorn yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your key words in this decision is "planning" to be vegan!. A tattoo is permanent but being vegan is not!. You should really think seriously about getting the tattoo and make sure its what you want!. The way you wrote this tho it doesnt sound like you are 100% sure!. Its either you ARE going to stay committed to being vegan forever or you are JUST planning (thinking) you will be!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I'd advise against tattoos for two reasons!.
First, they are permanent!. You can't easily remove them if you change your beliefs!.
And second they are permanent!. But youth and firmness of flesh are not!. Gravity and wrinkles take their toll on us all and will distort a tattoo and make it hideous, Young as you may be and think you always will be, you will be 70 one day!. You may think you won't care what you look like then, but you will!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, if you want a tatoo, and you truly love the way the word will look on your body, then do it!. But, dont do it because you believe you will be a vegan for the rest of your life!. Remember, never say never!. Peace out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
don't you might regret it laterWww@FoodAQ@Com
