Where was peta?!

Question: Where was peta!?
I just wanted to let you vegetarians know that during our wonderful floods here in Iowa, not one spokesman from peta showed up to help with displaced pets!. Of course the humane society and other groups offered to take residents in boats to their homes to get pets, but not one PEEP from peta!. I thought they were the champions of ethical treatment of animals!. Anyone have any ideas as to why they were so silent!?

Too busy harassing corporations!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Why should they help!? Aren't they against pets anyway!? Isn't dead farm animals AND dead pets answer to "animal suffering"!? Wasn't killing animals in their shelters their solution to pets!?
You see that here a lot - "If you ask me, it's better for animals not to be born at all!.!.!." then followed by : Source: www!.peta (or peta2)!.org
Or perhaps there were no former porn stars like jenna jameson or almost -porn star like pam andrson living in Iowa so they can't get any fake boobs to use as rafts!.

Or maybe there was a celebrity fund raiser somewhere!. Hollywood vs drowning, abandoned pets!.!. No contest!.!.

Ethics is to PETA as t-bone steak is to a vegan!. Just not happening

Wow PETA gave out tips on how to keep your animals safe!! Something really useful when the animals were already in danger of drowning!. A tip via email!! With a phone number so people who have lost their phone service can call!?!? An email they will receive when there was no Internet connection!?
And something available at the local Humane Society or ASPCA or local Animal shelter but without the publicity!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Becuase the organazation is useless!. They were busying smoking dope around some Sequoia in California!. What did you expect all of those rich yuppies don't do physical work and would never even think of ever getting there hands dirty!. If they did show up they would probably be trying to take a bath in the flood water becuase it would be "cleansing", lol and natural!. Useless, just plain useless they are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

http://www!.kcrg!.com/news/local/19844094!.!.!.!.

PETA doesn't have an office in Iowa!. They can't be at the site of every natural disaster in the country!. Perhaps they flew some employees to Iowa, and you were simply unaware of it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, too busy harassing corporations and taking pictures of Pamela Lee in her skivvies!

Where are they when the are REALLY needed!?!?!? Good question!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

MasterPy they always done useful stuff ok!. And they probabbly were there u just didnt see and also if not you dont expect them 2 come 2 every single natural desaster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Since when did PETA ever do anything usefull besides provide pics of sexy women to fap to!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why don't you calm down already and show some patience!. Did you expect them to knock on your door at 4am with coffee and a smile in preparation of going over their plan with you!? They are doing something!. Geez!. Calm down already and your sarcasm about "champions" is ridiculous!. Don't be so dang quick to judge an organization that's doing a hell of a lot more than you, your neighbors and most cities in general!.

Humboldt County, Iowa -- With many parts of Iowa under a flood watch, PETA is offering important advice for ensuring the safety of animal companions to residents of Humboldt, Bremer, Butler, Webster, Pocahontas, Greene, and Cerro Gordo counties!. Please consider the following information, which could help save the lives of cats, dogs, birds, and other companion animals who need to be included in disaster preparation plans:

· Never leave your animals behind to fend for themselves!.

· Never tie animals up or leave them confined in any way, as they will be trapped and unable to flee rising floodwaters!.

· Know your destination ahead of time!. Although human shelters often refuse animals, motels in the area will probably accept dogs, cats, and other small animals in an emergency!. Do not plan to leave animals unsupervised in a car; they can suffer from heatstroke once ambient temperatures rise above 70 degrees even if water is provided and the windows are slightly open!.

· Place small animals in secure carriers and keep dogs leashed: Frightening sounds and unfamiliar surroundings may make them bolt and get strangled!. Take water and food bowls, your animal's favorite toy or blanket, a towel, and enough food for at least a week!.

· Have your animals microchipped, and put secure, legible I!.D!. tags on them!.

· Watch for other animals in need, including strays and animals left behind by neighbors!. If you see an animal in distress and are unable to help, note the animal's condition and location and call authorities for help as soon as possible!.

A copy of PETA's new disaster preparedness public service announcement (PSA) is available upon request!. For additional information and to view the PSA, please visit HelpingAnimals!.com, where you will also find a list of animal shelters and accommodations that allow animals in your area!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
