Answers:
Vegetable Gravy is not hard but you may need to experiment with it to suit your taste!.

Start with a Vegetable Stock, about one cup!.
Make a "slurry" of corn starch and water
Heat your Veggy stock and slowly pour your starch & water into it, stirring constantly!. You can control the consistency of the gravy by adding more or less starch!.
You can saute mushrooms, onion, chopped zuchini, squash, etc!. and add to the gravy for different tastes!.
Add your salt, pepper, garlic, chili powder, whatever you like to flavor it!.

My wife and I make a veggy pasta sauce using similar ingredients but without the starch!.

Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Gravy is easy--just make a liquid you like the taste of and add a thickening agent of a little corn starch mixed in cold water so there are no lumps!. Heat it over medium heat while stirring, and it will thicken!.

So a brown gravy can be from soy sauce and water, with onions and mushrooms added, or use a sour cream base, vegetable boullion or anything you can think of!. There are lots of possibilities--have fun experimenting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Check certain mushroom gravies in the grocery store!. I know there are a few that are vegetarian!. Then you will have it handy and you won't have to go to any trouble to prepare it!.

Or you could just try to get the right amount of vegetable stock and the right amount of corn starch by doing some experimenting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depending on where you live, you can get packet gravies!. The brand I use is called Serv-a-Gravy!. You can order it offline!. It's AMAZING tastes great and you can add your own flavourings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are meatless brands and they are pretty good but I make my own with vegetable stock and stir in some flour or corn starch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
