How does drinking milk..?!

Question: How does drinking milk!.!.!?
support veal factories!? I watched "Meet Your Meat" and it said this, and I'm just wondering how!. also, do vegans stay away from eggs because of the process of getting them or the conditions of the hens' environment!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Milk-producing cows are artificially inseminated every year in order to keep producing large amounts of milk!. When the cow's baby is born it is either killed on the spot or sold for a very small profit to veal farms because it's often easier than just disposing of the dead baby calves!.

Most vegans abstain from eggs because of the cruelty in egg-laying barns!. Cramped, filthy conditions, "forced molting", chicks that are born are separated based on sex and the male chicks are usually thrown into the garbage alive, to die from suffocation!. The chicks that will stay have their wings clipped and beaks seared off to prevent fighting between the chickens!. also disease in these conditions is rampant which causes many farms to use antibiotics to stave off infection!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cows have to give birth in order to produce milk!. Female calves follow their mothers into milk production!. Males cannot produce milk, so they are sold to the veal crates!.

Vegans avoid eggs for the same reason that they avoid all animal products!. Animals have the capacity to suffer and always do when they are treated as commodities!. The condition the hens are raised in is a factor in that suffering, as is the wholesale slaughter of male chicks and the fact that all laying hens are slaughtered for dog food or chicken nuggets when their egg production drops off!. It's not like they get to retire or something!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unless you have your own cow and keep all her calves, their is no such thing as cruelty free milk!.

The best way to get cruelty free eggs is easy, just get yourself a few hens and they will give you eggs!. I had some for a 4h project years ago!. I still have one, but she is past her egg laying years!.

BTW: people, cows are artificially inseminated for their own protection!. There is not romantic love among cattle and often the cow is injured durring natural insemination!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
