Wow, good for you! I've tried over the years and it's easier now to find alternative protein sources than it was 20-30 years ago!. I've been a a pescatarian now for the past 2 years and only because I'm addicted to sushi!. I know, fish feel too which does bother me a bit, but it's a start! Do you take a vitamin supplement!? That had always been my issue in the past - lacking some sort of protein-related vitamin!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Humans are not meant to be vegetarians!. You have eyes in the front of your head so that you can focus on prey and you have canine teeth for tearing into meet!. Vegetarianism is unnatural!.

I was a vegetarian for about 2 years (with my ex-wife)!. I became anemic because I wasn't getting enough iron and was a bit of a weakling!.

For girls to stay thin, I suppose it's not a bad idea, but I'm in favor of eating meats, but just going heavier with fruits and vegetables (so that you still eat mostly veggies, but you get the protein and nutrients you need from meats)!.

BTW, I am an animal advocate and buy my meat products from humane sources as much as possible (although, sometimes, there's little control a consumer has over such things)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't agree with vegetarianism as a way to avoid eating ''innocent'' animals, because animals kill and eat other animals every day in not so humane ways!.

However, veganism in an attempt to lead a healthy life by avoiding the difficult-to digest proteins and hormones in meat and other animal products is great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am vegetarian too! I have been for about a month and a half!.
I was never really a big meat eater, but then I went onto sites like PETA!.com and watched those videos, and read info about how poorly animals were treated and i finally chose to make the decision of becoming vegetairan!.

My parents weren't happy with it at first but now they are finally accepting it, and i am getting them to like the food brands like Boca and Morningstar!.

All i say is go VEGETARIANS!! :]Www@FoodAQ@Com

Nope, none whatsoever!. I wish that I could make the switch myself, but I'm entirely too picky an eater!. I do some all-veggie weeks every now and then, but in order to get the protein I have to eat the meat eventually!. I don't really have an opinion about killing animals - it has been part of my lifestyle for too long!. I would rather they not be processed, but this is where I am in life!.!.!.!.I can't hunt my own food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I stopped eating meat when I was in 1st grade!. I'm 22 now!.!.!. and I couldn't touch meat!. It has always grossed me out!. I am a huge animal lover!.!.!. that was the reason I stopped eating meat!.

I feel that vegetarian is the best way to be! No meats!.!.!. cuts out a lot of fats etc!.

I will be this way for the rest of my life!.!.!. and I have no problem with being this way!. I love it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

im lacto ovo vegetarian I did it not for animals but for my health i didnt want to be another fatty in life!.

I stongly beieve in respecting others and if they want to eat meat then who am i to tell themt hey cant eat it but dont expect me to eat it and I choose to be left alone when it comes to opinions the are like but holes and everyone has oneWww@FoodAQ@Com

Its a hard lifestyle at first but after a couple of weeks, I have adjusted! Never have I suffered another constipation and stomach problems! also, my paranoia about tapeworms and parasitic worms are lessen as I think plants don't have those usually!.

also, its a heck cheaper!Www@FoodAQ@Com

the food - you look for more things in stead of just meat (the variety

but I do have to say, being a veg is difficult (because you usually get crappy food for a high price)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am much more intentional about what I eat and I eat a much bigger variety of foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Best decision I ever made! I've not ate meat in 11 years and I'm lovin' it!.

If people say that veggie food is boring, they have obviously never tried veggie food lol! :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think that if you are keeping an eye on your iron levels and eating plenty of proteins!.!.!.!.then you have made a fantastic decision!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love it!
i try to spread it the most i can!
C=
im glad you choose to go vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been a vegetarian from birth, and I don't plan on changing at all!.
I'm lovin it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with you, it's the best decision I've ever made as well!. I wish I had turned vegan years ago!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ive been a vegetarian for 6 months and i agree with you 100%!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegataians are awsome!. Iu support anyone who trys!. I was one for a while but it was too hard!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm vegan, standing up for animals means not supporting their cruelty and dairy farming is hideous as far as I'm concerned!. I also choose my soy products carefully to ensure they don't come from rain forest clearance sites which is wiping out species as we speak!.

To the above poster, yes we have canine teeth, that is an evolutionary step that is relatively recent in the grand scheme of things, we didn't always have them!. Our intestines however have not caught up, and as such we are not equipped properly to digest and process meat which is leading to many cancers!. There is nothing "natural" about buying meat from a grocery isle!. Don't think we need hunting eyes for that! lol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
