Being a vegetarian is not for everyone?!

Question: Being a vegetarian is not for everyone!?
I just ended my 7 wk vegetarian diet
due to the fact it wasnt healthy for me
i began to lose weigh and im already skinny as hell-lol
but yea it made me have major headaches-and also being a package handler it wasnt wise- because sometimes i felt really sick like i was going to throw up or fall out
i mean my body looks really good- but thats not as important as life- and i didnt become a vegatarian because -the way certain slaughter houses treat the animals-i became one as a new challenge for me - i mean if i could stop eating meat i could do damn nere anything-and i must admit i also did it for bragging rights-lol -What do you think about all of this -or what are some of your stories!?
by the way im a 19 year old femaleWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No it is not for everyone, people have many dietary restrictions or have weight issues or whatever the case might be, being a vegetarian is nice if you can be one but you cannot be a "I'm veg and I better than you" type because that turns people off and some people have legitimate dietary problems and restrictions!. We also have to keep in mind our environmental impact and a lot of veg/vegan diets are not great for the earth just as most meat eating diets aren't as well unless they involve sustainable hunting and gathering!.

I think the best idea for you (the asker) is too talk with a nutritionist and figure out what you need for your diet and eat what you need for that diet so you can be healthy, maybe you can be a vegetarian but you weren't getting enough vitamins or something like that or maybe you need to eat fish or some meat but check with a nutritionist or a doctor or both and figure all this out hopefully you can be a vegetarian and be healthy!. It worked for me I did lose some weight (as I wanted) and I feel a bit more energized!Www@FoodAQ@Com

:o) My guess, you weren't doing it right!. A real vegetarian/vegan is committed and is driven to learn what their body needs and how to feed it properly!. In my opinion everyone can and should be a vegetarian!. The only people it is not for is the weak and the sick (mentally)!. Compassion, healthy and overall quality of life starts at what you eat and if you have no control over that then that says a lot about your life!. What you eat in life is as important as what you do with your life!. Again, all IMO!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't blame vegetarianism for this!. You have to eat a variety of foods and actually do research!. Vegetarianism can be (and is) for everybody!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I can tell you that the lack of meat did not do any of that to you!.!.a poor diet did!. The vegetarian diet is very healthy!.!.as long as you eat healthy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i tried being vegetarian and also lost weight, some people just need meat in them (no offence to any vegans/vegetarians) i have wanted to be vegetarian

You can't blame vegetarian for your lack of nutrition!. If you would have done more research you would have been fine!.

You only lose weight when you don't eat enough!.!.!.and you said you were already skinny to begin with!.

I am 25 and female!. I have been vegetarian for over a year and vegan for 3 months!. I have maintained my weight and I have never felt better!.

It bothers me that you said you were against the way "some" places slaughter animals!. It's not like it's just some!. It's all of them!.!.!.The slaughtering is not the worst part!. It's the lives they live up to that point just so we can use them and throw them away!.

You made a good moral decision to go vegetarian!. It's just too bad that you had to do bad job of it and then quit!.

You may learn that some things in life take a lot of effort!. The things that take the most effort are often times worth the most!.

It's like telling a starving child that you will go to the store and get him food!. Then you return from the store and tell him you couldn't figure out what to get him so you decided to get him nothing!.
Having a good heart is worthless if you aren't willing to put some efforts into standing up for what you believe in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Im 21 yr old Female!. Well Ive been vegetarian for about 6 months now!. I did it for many reasons!. I have lost about 20 lbs now!.!.and I am still healthy!. I eat a variety of foods, including lots of fruits and veggies!. I dont take any multi vitamins, I go to the doc for check ups all the time!. In fact, I havent had a single cough or cold since i started! the first time i went to the doc after becomming one, she was surprised at how much healthier I was!.
If you truely want to become a vegetarian, just to lots of research!. Look up things on google and rent books from the library!. I thought I could never do it, but now I dont think I can ever stop!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you gave it a try and thats great, but you are right!.!.being vegetarian is not for everyone!. And its a choice whether to eat meat or not that everyone makes!. I am sure you will get alot of grief for this because you chose to be vegetarian and go pro for all they believe in and then turn around and change your mind!.!.but do not let it bother you because its your choice, your body and thats all that matters!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
