Can I freeze Soy Milk?!

Question: Can I freeze Soy Milk!?
I love Silk Soy Milk, especially the vanilla flavor, however, on the carton it says drink within seven days!. I'm the only one in the household who likes it and drinks it or uses it on my cereal, so about every time I end up having to dump almost half a carton because I can't drink all of it!.

I was wondering, could I freeze half of it!? Will it taste the same when de-thawed!? And if I can freeze it, how long does it last frozen!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It will freeze, but I've only ever frozen it to make popsickles, so idk how it would work to thaw!.

But!.!.!.I've left soymilk in the frige for 3 weeks and it didn't go bad!. They put that label on to be safe so that no one can sue them!. As long as your fridge is cold enough, your soymilk will be fine for at least 10 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Since freezing tofu changes it's flavor and texture my guess is that the same will happen with soy milk!. I don't understand why your tossing out any soy milk!. If you use just one 6oz glass a day, from a 32oz container, your milk will not last 7 days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i doubt that would work out, but the soy milk should last atleast a week after the date on the carton!. they just put that date on the carton to be safe but its atleast a week before the real expiration date,Www@FoodAQ@Com

We do not recommend freezing Silk!. It can be done; however upon defrosting, Silk tends to separate irregularly and this greatly reduces the visual quality and consistency of soy milk!.

You may keep Silk in your refrigerator unopened until the date stamped on the carton!. This is not an expiration date, but rather an "open by" date, meaning we guarantee the quality and freshness of Silk for seven to 10 days when opened on or before the date stamped on the carton!. Freezing does not damage the nutritional value of the product"
