What to do about those UGGS?!

Question: What to do about those UGGS!?
I have UGGS from a while ago, when I was pretty young!. And, I wasn't that aware of how cruel wearing fur, and killing animals for what we no longer need was!. And for a few months I've been feeling terrible, because I found them in my closet when I was cleaning it out!. I feel like I want to burn them, or throw them out, but it would do no good, except REALLY waste the animals taken life!. What should I do!? Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ebay or resale shop - someone will happily pay for them, then you can take the money you make and do something nice with it - like donate it to your local animal shelter or buy some saplings to plant!.

i gave my leather to my sister, who is at least making good use of it since she is a fat cow herself (ok, not nice - but funny)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not sure what UGGS is or are but I can say that destroying the fur is a really bad idea!. Fur is not a bad thing the fur industry and the meat industry and all industry is a bad thing!. Indigenous peoples all around the world have used fur (along with the rest of the animal) mostly in a sustainable way and if we go back to that the world will be much better off!.
As for what you should do, I suggest donating them in the fall or winter to a homeless person as they really need it! If you buy new clothes make sure that they are somewhat sustainable (vegan pleathers and fake furs are not at all sustainable and you are better off environmentally with using leather and hopefully it was scraps or from the already slaughtered cows)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can donate them to a shelter to keep homeless people warm in the winter!. That is what I would do!.

Turning skin into leather requires massive amounts of energy and dangerous chemicals, including mineral salts, formaldehyde, coal-tar derivatives, and various oils, dyes, and finishes - some of them cyanide-based!. The process of tanning stabilizes the collagen / protein fibers in skins so that they actually stop biodegrading, so that leather doesn't rot right off your feet!. Huge amounts of fossil fuels are consumed in livestock production!. (In contrast, plastic wearables account for only a fraction of the petroleum used in the U!.S!.) Furs are also loaded with chemicals to keep them from decomposing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you need to get things in perspective!. As you said it was a long time ago that you bought them!. I respect your veiws on animals, But the wool used in Ugg boots would be a by-product of the meat industry!. i!.e the skins, so they either get thrown away or put to use!. I assume you're a vegitarian, but we are the top of the food chain and animals will always be killed for our comsumption, therefore your cause would be better put towards safe and humane transport and treatment of these animals!. good luck with your moral dilemaWww@FoodAQ@Com

Since you can no longer bear to wear them, donate them to a shelter where they will keep someone else's feet warm in the winter!. While animal shelters take in unwanted fur, I don't know if they'd be able to turn boots into bedding for animals, but you can certainly ask!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pam Anderson donated her Uggs to PETA once she became aware of the cruelty involved!.

I'd contact PETA and see if the organization could use some more Uggs for their protests against the Australian wool industry!. If not, PETA could probably give you some good suggestions!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You bought the boots before you understood the sickening world of fur and leather, so I dont think you should worry about it now!.

In the future when buying shoes, check to make sure that they are not made of leather!. Most shoe places offer designs that are man made materials only!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You have seen the light!. Burning them is the best thing you could possibly do!. That will ensure that that particular pair of those horrid, un-stylish things will never again offend anyone's eyes!.

Now, if only we could get everyone to burn their Uggs!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can donate it to a homeless person!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'll give you $10 for emWww@FoodAQ@Com
