Potatoes are NOT high in fat!. It depends *how* you cook them, fried potato is high in fat, but a baked potato is very low in fat!.
It's fatty toppings such as cheese that add lots of fat to potatoes!.
So potatoes themselves will not lead to weight gain!. Just avoid adding fatty toppings and dressings to your potato dishes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you eat in moderation, no!. Probably becos potatos are high in carbohydrates, thus ppl say that it will cause obesity!. But if you only eat 1 or 2 its impossible to get fat! Just like if you eat 2 scoops of ice cream you wont get fat immediately unless you eat it on a daily basis!. If you eat 10 potatoes in the place of rice daily, i see no difference in the change in amt of carbohydrates, but probably only an increase in calorie intakeWww@FoodAQ@Com
