Has anyone ever had a trick played on them by non-veggies?!

Question: Has anyone ever had a trick played on them by non-veggies!?
Just been chatting to one of my friends, and she had been to dinner with friends at one of their houses, and while she was in loo they put real mince in her spag bog,and it wasnt til hours later when they were all tiddly, that someone felt guilty and told her!.

She was of course as we all would be mortified!.

I too would be devastated as my vegetarianism is for moral and religious reasons!.
I cannot even begin to imagine having that happen!.

I have always been wary of food cooked by others, and am glad i dont eat out now!.lol

By the way,the so called friends knew how serious she took her veggie choices, and she is inconsolable at moment!.

Well,i hope i get some answers before this is removed, lol, seems someone has a vendetta and getting my questions removed!.

Was stunned my "Asda selling prawns to veggies" got taken out!.

Seems fishy to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahaha, the prawn and asda question i mean!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's just a lack of respect I feel!. You choose to not eat meat and people should respect it just the same as the majority of veggies (including myself) respect that some people choose to eat meat!.

Hook: What do you think is at the back of your mouth and stuck in your gums!?!? Do you not know that humans have molars too!? Did you know that animals who eat meat have long sharp canines, no molars and only have the ability to move their jaw in 2 directions!? Funny that humans have molars, tiny rounded canines and can move their jaws in numerous directions which is to help break up plant fibres!.

Animals who eat meat also have sharp, strong long claws and the agility and speed to catch their prey!. What do we have!? Soft rounded finger nails and we ain't fast enough to catch and bring down cows or sheep etc let alone be able to rip the carcass to shreds!.

Animals who eat meat tear and swallow big chunks of flesh (due to the inability to chew) and for that reason have larger gullets and shorter intestines!. Have you tried swallowing whole pieces of flesh and wondered why we have long intestines much as the same as other herbivores!?

Animals who eat meat eat their meat raw and most of the time whilst their prey is still alive and warm!. Do you do that!?

Hook, veggies get the "what are the canines for, duh!?" statement all the time, but there are other herbivores which have canines and I think that ignorant theory has been blown out of the water!. You need to catch up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a vegetarian or vegan, but I have a great deal of respect for those who are!. Having said that I think it is horrible that someone would do that to someone!. It shows a complete lack of respect and makes me wonder what kind of "friend" they are!. Weather or not you agree with someone's lifestyle choice you should respect them!. If I was having a vegan or veg friend over for a meal I would do everything I could to make sure the meal I provided for them was something they could eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No but it happens! A friend of mine was having a party, he was cooking mince for everyone but cooked quorn mince seperately for one veggie!. His housemate (french) didn't like the idea though and threw everything in one frying pan! The veggie didn't know the difference but I know I'd be extremely upset to the point where I'd be in tears if someone did that to me!. I hate the idea of eating an animal!. It's cruel and nasty when people play 'tricks' like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think that's horrible that they did that to her, but I've heard of it before!. People tried to do that to me all the time when I told them I was a veggie, it's just because they don't understand it so they don't think it's a big deal!. It's kind of like when one of your friends doesn't drink and you go out with her, and you're like "C'mon, just one drink"!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have had many people do the "what if" scenerio if they did that to me,
i think that is completely sick, and downright mean, you dont mess with peoples beliefs like that!.
she should make them go veghead for a month to make it up to her!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

that is so horrible, why would her friends do that to her if they knew how seriously she took it that is awful!.
i would never do that to any veggie seen as i am one myself and know how i would feel if that happend to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is just awful!. I am a meat eater but respect others choices as I would expect them to respect mine!. That truly is a mean thing to do, like putting alcohol into a non-drinkers glass! I am so sorry for your friend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I feel it's ok for your religious values if someone made you eat meat using low tricks or you yourself accidentally bit into it!. As long as there was no real intention to indulge in sin, your karma is safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I have never had anyone do that to me!. I know I can trust my family and friends to be more respectful than that!. I wonder if these same people would have slipped some pork to a friend who keeps Kosher!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

my my freind hd just become a veggie, her brother kept tempting her with bacon and shoving meat under her nose(not literally but you Know what I mean) I think its horrible if someones a veggie you should let them be a veggie!Www@FoodAQ@Com

not like that but i brought a vegie spring roll from a resterant once and they gave me a chicken one instead = ( it was discusting!.
hope she cheers up soon and her friends appologise better
= ]Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. That isn't at all funny and I would be mortified too!. I bring my own food when I go to someone elses home!. If I am not sure that something is vegan free then I don't eat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, but I've heard of it happening!. It's really sick!. If a person does that to me, they certainly won't be my friend any longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Anyone who would slip anything into someone else's food that the other person finds wrong, is not a friend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i was tricked many times by such unscruplous people over the years!.!.i just dont keep any contact with them any moreWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would never do this!.
Alevites don't eat rabbit!. A Swiss friend invited a group of Turkish-Kurdish Alevites for dinner!. Thinking they were just 'picky' about their food, she made a rabbit casserole!. One of them, thinking it was chicken, asked why the meat was dark!. It's cooked in red wine', was the answer!. At the end of the meal she said, 'Well, you all ate it!. Actually it was rabbit!.' My sister-in-law went straight to the lavatory and made herself sick!. Some time later, I told my Swiss friend that it was a religious thing and she was mortified!.
I well remember once saying to a Muslim friend that she could eat the paté because it was chicken liver!. I had totally forgotten that I had put bacon in it!. I didn't tell her, but it still makes me ashamed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I dont condone it in any way!.!.!.tricking someone is never good!.!.!.!.but why do vegetarians have a problem when we trick you in to eating something you dont like!.!.!.!.i mean you could eat it and it wont kill you!.!.!.but you get very angry!.!.!.!.!.why is it i hear on a daily basis about vegetarians tricking omnis into eating vegetarian food!.!.!.!.!.what if that person strongly believed in having meat with every meal

why is it alright to trick us and attack our beliefs but when its done to yous its sick and horrible

I mean vegetarians are vegetarians purely by choice!.!.!.you choose not to eat somthing!.!.!.!.!.meat eaters choose not to eat vegetarian options of meat dishes like lasagne!.!.!.why is it alright to trick us into eating somthing we dont want but its horrible and sick if its done to u

LOL BRITNEY lol you crack me up!.!.!.i didnt rant at all it really is sad when you cant respect my choices and have to resort to this i do pity you, go have some meat if will beef up your brain cells and you may be actually able to write more next timeWww@FoodAQ@Com

When I was in Australia my cousin was being really immature about my vegetarianism!. I was staying with her family!. We were ordering Thai take out and my aunt ordered vegetarian portion of some stuff just so I could eat the same dinner as everyone else!. She was ordering over the phone and my cousin was calling out the ref!. numbers for each order and she deliberately ordered pork versions of my noodles and spring rolls!. I had a full plate of food and I was about to start eating when my mam told my that the food was meaty!. She only realised when she ate a spring roll!.
I was ready to kill my cousin but my dad just managed to calm me down!.
My cousin was thirteen, the same age I was, at the time!. I used to laugh at my other vegetarian cousin when I was four!. She should really have grown out of it!.

Do people not realise that meat can be dangerous for long time vegetarians!. Meat can make you sick if your body isn't used to it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a vegetarian but I think that was very mean!. Some jokes are funny but that wasn't!. Whether your friend doesn't eat meat due to religious reasons, health reasons or the guilt of eating an animal makes no difference!. I know a lady who doesn't eat pork due to religious reasons!. Her mother in law told us that she puts pork in the pasta sauce and tells her that there is no pork in it!. My mum told me that she hasn't sinned but the mother in law has!. also, you metioned someone said that they did it to help your friend for health reasons!. Well, getting her to eat meat just the once isn't going to help her health!. Iron can be found in other foods if she is low in iron and also tablets can be taken if very low!. Real friends wouldn't play a trick like that!. And the friend that felt guilty about it afterwards should have kept it to herself!. She was feeling guilty and was trying to relieve her guilt by telling to make herself feel better but all she has done is make your friend very upset!. My family eats rabbit and I refuse to eat it as I had a pet rabbit!. I would feel terrible if they put it in my food and told me it was something else!. I am not saying it is the same thing as your friends situation but I can imagine how I would feel and I assume your friend would be feeling a lot worse!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's why you don't make a big deal out of your vegetarianism unless if necessary and instead tell people you're allergic to meat product!. They won't slip something you're allergic to into your food!. Tell them they have to make it up to her and until then she's not associating with them!. That seriously is messed up and wrong to do!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

like your friend, i am a vegetarian for moral and religious reasons!. i would be EXTREMELY upset if a "friend" tried to trick me into eating meat!. in fact, that "friendship" would end immediately!. if you can't trust and respect your friends, why have them!? i would prefer to surround myself with people who are respectful of my choices and not vindictive!. to give meat to someone who is a veg*n on religious grounds is REPULSIVE!. i don't know what kind of person would do that!.!.!.!.!.that's like giving pork to someone who is Jewish!. it's an integral part of their beliefs!. it's incredibly, INCREDIBLY mean spirited to do something like what those "friends" did!. what a bunch of jerks!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
i will never understand why people have such a problem with others who aren't exactly like them!. people are so closed minded!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have had the same thing happen to me several times

I have a sister that has on more than one occasion tried to slip some putrid tofu into my food and a wife that thinks it's funny to try to trick me into eating fish even though I have told her repeatedly that I don't eat it for deep personal reasonsWww@FoodAQ@Com

While I myself am not a vegetarian, one of my friends became one when we were in junior high, and for some reason this created a whole bunch of debates in our school!. I respect her decision, and certainly would not like anyone to sneak something into my food!.

Some people have sneaked meat into her meals, but she has never reacted in a mortified manner!. Mostly her reaction has been: what's your point!? Which makes sense, a vegetarian eats a little meat by accident, doesn't immediately make them no longer vegetarians!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I felt gutted just reading that!. I once bought an onion tart with hidden tuna in and a vegetable pie with ham in! It made me sick but for friends to do that to me!? I would also be inconsolable!.

And for those ignorant people who keep saying 'maybe she was thin and they thought she needed some B12'!. Do you not realise that it is actually meat eaters who are unhealthy, are more likely to get cancer, heart problems etc!? Vegetarians are much healthier since they actually eat what humans are suposed to eat!. Don't believe me!? :
http://www!.eatthis!.org!.uk/human!.htm
http://www!.eatthis!.org!.uk/health_kick!.ht!.!.!.

Humans are omnivores, we have a choice in what we eat!. Unless your teeth are so sharp they can bite through bones and can eat decaying meat (like lions for example), you aren't adapted to eating it!.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest!.
I hope your friend is finding support in her real friends!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You need meat to live that is why we have canine teeth not a bunch of molars like cows!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
