This website tells about KFC's suppliers and has information about various investigations into these companies:

Tyson Foods has been found torturing chickens multiple times!. (Tyson supplies KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and others!.) Info on Tyson: http://getactive!.peta!.org/campaign/tortu!.!.!.

I'm not sure about other fast food companies!. For general info on how animals are routinely abused and slaughtered on factory farms & slaughterhouses, see: http://mercyforanimals!.org/factory_farmi!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is safe to assume that by virtue of the massive amount of meat that ALL fast food establishments use, they are ALL getting meat from the worst, ethically and environmental sources possible!.

Think about it!. If you buy free range, antibiotic free ground beef from the store you will be paying around 2-3 dollars a pound!. If you buy a quarter pound burger off the dollar menu you have !.50 - !.73 cents of GOOD ground beef, factor in bread, condiments, veggies and labor and you can be sure they are not going to be giving you this 50-75 cent meat!. Not a chance!.

At fast food joints you are pretty sure to get the lowest grade (often animals who have died pre-slauter from mistreatment etc!.) meat the market can legally provide!.

It would be safer to go to a local joint who gets their meat from a farm within 100 miles of the restaurant!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
