Vegetarian Bridal Shower?!

Question: Vegetarian Bridal Shower!?
I want to have a vegetarian bridal shower so what are some dishes to make that are easy, and something everyone will enjoy!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
i think the best dishes at showers are finger food, because you want everyone to mingle while they're eating!.
here are some ideas:
fruit salad
veggies and dip
cheese and crackers (if she eats cheese)
miniature spanikopita
mini vegetable tarts
finger sandwiches (like cream cheese/cucumber)
pasta salad
meringue puffs
cookies
cake
punch
lemonade

here is an appetizer i have used that goes over very, very well:
buy pre-made mini phyllo dough cups (by athens)
mix 2 packages of softened cream cheese with a stick of softened butter (just to soften the cheese more)
mix a package of dry ranch dressing mix (vegetarian) into the cream cheese mixture
cook up a package of Morningstar Farms Sausage crumbles and mix them into the cheese mixture
Mix a cup of shredded cheddar cheese (sargento brand) into the cream cheese mixture
spoon into phyllo dough shells
bake at 350 until the top of each begins to brown and is bubbly

they are SO good!.!.!.!.!.i have made them at several brunches and they're always the first to go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There are many things to make!.!.!. just because it is vegetarian doesn't mean you are serving a salad and that's it!. You've already gotten quite a few good ideas, so I'll just add a few more:

Appetizers abound!.!.!. Here's a recipe I've used for years:

Striped Pesto Dip
INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
6 tablespoons pesto
1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts

DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream and Parmesan cheese!.
In a small clear glass serving dish (2-3 cups), spread 1/3 the cream cheese mixture!. Top with 2 tablespoons pesto!. Repeat layering, ending with a topping of pesto!. Sprinkle with walnuts and serve!.

For a main dish, you can have tea sandwiches filled with cheeses, cheese spreads, and cucumbers and watercress!.

You can also have a substantial salad that includes goat cheese and candied walnuts or pecans, with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing!.

For the cake, you can get cakes made with no eggs, or even a Carvel (or other) ice cream cake!. Carvel's vanilla ice cream is the only flavor with eggs, according to their website!.

For a punch, you can make a simple champagne punch by using the following:

1 container strawberry (or other flavor) sherbet
1 bottle Andre sparkling wine (or Ginger Ale if you want non-alcoholic)
1 pt!. Strawberries
2 Oranges

Empty the sherbet into the punch bowl and pour in the champagne!. Slice up the strawberries and oranges and float in the bowl!.

The sherbet melts and keeps the punch cool!.

You can also modify this by getting pineapple or lime sherbet and floating lemons and limes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
