Question: Alternative for eggs for a cupcake recipe!?!?
I was wanting to bake a cupcake recipe!.!.but im vegan!.
And the recipe calls for 2 eggs!.
ANy alternatives good for baking a cupcake or cake!.

Other substitutes are bananas, applesauce, canned pumpkin (sound gross but you can't even tell), pureed prunes, soy and bean flour, cornstarch, grounded flaxseeds, tofu (usually silken)!.!.!. that's all I can think of! Here's some measurements!.

1/4 cup applesauce, pureed prunes, or pumpkin = 1 egg
1/4 cup tofu = 1 egg
2 tbsp corn starch = 1 egg
2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg
2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg
1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg
1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can buy "Ener-G Egg Replacer" at many grocery stores now in the area where they sell the health food - at health food stores!. If you can't find it - just ask them to show you where it is!.
