Non-animal tested shampoos and conditioners?!

Question: Non-animal tested shampoos and conditioners!?
Hi, Are there any non-animal tested shampoos and conditioners you use that are actually good!? If so, could you give some names!. I use to use Dove but I'd feel WAY better if I used something that wasn't tested on animals!. I've been looking for shampoos that are non animal tested but, I don't like the smell of them or something!. So!.!.any good ones you guys would suggest!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Origins does not test on animals (I love their shampoos) and is owned Estee Lauder who also does not test on animals!.

Paul Mitchell does not test but they are owned by Gillette who is notorious for testing on animals!.

Aveda does not test on animals!. Freeman does not test!. Not sure who owns these companies!.

I would look for shampoos in salons or in the health food stores that say they are not tested on animals!. There are a lot of products out there!.

Kiss My Face does not make shampoo but they make body lotion and shaving lotion and deoderant and toothpaste all free of animal testing and animal ingredients!. I love thier lotions and shaving creams!.!.!.not in love with their other products!. They're okay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Although it's sort of pricey, I like Avalon's lavender shampoo and conditioner and also I've tried Pureology and it's great stuff, but it's so expensive!.

Actually, the body shop DOES test on animals!. Or rather, their parent company does but because it's under a different name, they can say that they don't!. I used to work there and was kind of shocked when I found that out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Go to Whole Foods, for goodness sake! There are tons of brands there and I think all of them are not tested and don't contain animal products (another concern)!. I like Nature's Gate!. Jason makes all kinds of shampoo!. For the two posters above me who are so pro-testing, why would we even need to test shampoos if they didn't contain TOXIC CHEMICALS!? HMMM!?

Another all-purpose soap which can be also used as shampoo is Dr!. Bronner's, which can be diluted for shampoo and general body care needs!. It has a castile soap base with essential oils (I like the almond and peppermint varieties)!. All these natural shampoos are sooo superior to the reg!. stores! I bought a reg!. store shampoo recently to 'save money' and it was thrown out for smelling so toxic!. It also burned my scalp!. Paying extra is worth it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd stick with the ones mentioned above if your worried about animal testing!.

Just a little FYI!. Animal testing has kept dangerous ingredients out of products like shampoo!. One, now banned, ingredient was causing blindness in people due to cornea damage!. The idea of unnecessary animal testing sickens me, but I want any new ingredents tested on lab rats before they get to me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've tried ShiKai, which I loved the scent of but found the conditioner too light for my hair!. I've tried Nature's Gate, which is pretty good!. And now I'm using Desert Essence Organics, which is OK!. Since I haven't found my perfect one yet, I'll keep trying!. I want to try some of Lush's shampoo bars because I love the idea of no packaging to recycle!.

Other brands I have available to me, even in regular drug and grocery stores include Kiss My Face, Jason and Alba!.

(These are non animal tested and don't contain animal ingredients)Www@FoodAQ@Com

The Body Shop, Origins and Paul Mitchell are all shampoos and conditioners that I can think of right off the top of my head that don't endorse, support or perform animal tests!.

Of the three, the only one I've actually used is Paul Mitchell, Smoothing System!. It smells great and works well!. You can buy this at a salon for around 30 bucks for both products together in one bundle!.

Here in my sources I've linked you to the Body Shop, Origins, Paul Mitchell Systems and a list of non-animal tested shampoos and conditioners!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In addition to Nature's Gate and J/A/S/O/N, there's also Lush, which makes shampoo bars and liquid shampoo!. They also have one vegan conditioner, called Veganese, that smells deliciously citrusy!.

As someone else pointed out, your local Whole Foods (or natural foods store) will have lots of shampoos with fewer chemicals and that are less likely to have been tested on animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use JASON shampoo and conditioner!. You get it at whole foods or any health food stores!. Its not tested on animals nor does it have any bi-products in it! It works wonders on my hair, it makes it less oily, and more manageable! My hair smells good!. I think natural conditioners / shampoos work much better than the chemical filled one's that are tested on animals!Www@FoodAQ@Com

they've compiled a list of non-animal testing companies, and a separate list of ones that still animal test!. Look for companies that don't test rather than just individual products (e!.g!. a company may still do animal testing, but offer some shampoos that are not tested on animals!. better not to support that company!.)

you'd be surprised how many companies are cruelty-freeWww@FoodAQ@Com

When you read a label that states 100% organic, I want you to remember; arsenic is 100% organic!. Don't forget to lick your plate!.

You're free to do as you wish but there is no way I am testing any product for some manufacturer!. To be honest even my dog's shampoo has been tested on vegans!.

CheersWww@FoodAQ@Com

omg in whole food they have these vegan shampoos and conditioners , they are called ''dessert essance'' organic haircare!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.they come in organic rasberries, organic apple and ginger, organic italian grape and ect!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.soo yummy i get compliments on how good my hair smells!.!.!.!.!.<3 goodluckWww@FoodAQ@Com
