Good source of protein??!


Question: Good source of protein!?!?
i recently became a vegitarian (sorry for the spelling) and i need to find a good source of protein besides meat!.!.!. and i know they have those protein shakes but those are expensive!. so any other ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Outside of famine conditions, protein deficiency is incredibly rare!. Generally, if you consume enough calories, you get enough protein!.

What the body actually requires is amino acids to BUILD protein, and it makes over half of those by recycling old tissues!. Of the aminos that must come from your diet, all are found plant foods such as lentils, spinach, beans and nuts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tofu, peanuts, nuts, whole grain breads and cereal, eggs, and meat substitutes!. You'll need to be careful to eat lots of protein every day so you don't get sick!.

You might (or might not) like the Worthington fake meat products!. You can buy them on Amazon!. Some of them try to taste like meat, others don't try to taste like meat, but are still delicious!.

grains + seeds or nuts
seeds or nuts + beans

mixing and matching is exellent way to find different ways to eat complete protien!.
pinto beans
soy lima beans
lima beans

rice
barley
millet

walnuts
pecans
cashews
ect

to start
