Is edamame okay for boys to eat?!

Question: Is edamame okay for boys to eat!?
I'm sure it is but my toddler loves them, they're the only vegetable he'll eat!. I've heard it contains a lot of progesterone and is really good for women!. Will it have any side affects on my son!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Edamame would be better classified as a legume, not a vegetable!.

Soy is know for it's PHYTOestrogen content!. That means PLANT estrogens BTW!. Plants do not have the same hormones as people!. Don't let foolish people are unreliable articles fool you!. Allowing your son to eat edamame is not going to make him any less masculine!.

I'd recommend that you get your kids to like dark green leafy vegetables such as mustard, collards and kale!. Those are the veggies with biggest bang per bite!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Edamame may have a lot of progesterone, but edamame is a vegetable- it's not classified "for boys" or "for girls"!. They provide good nutrition for women, but it has good vitamins for men as well!. It's very healthy for your son to eat them!. Avocados are good for women's ovaries, but they also contain health benefits for men!. After all, a vegetable is a vegetable, right!?
So tell him to- "eat away!"

Best wishes! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is enough conflicting research out there to exercise some caution!. There's no evidence that moderate amounts of soybeans have negative affects on boys, but I would refrain from having him eat a large amount every day!. Not just for potential hormone effects, but also over concern about how large amounts of soy can inhibit enzymes needed for protein digestion!.!.

So !.!.!. soybeans are a really great veggie, packed with lots of nutritious stuff!. But it's probably prudent to avoid unusually large quantities!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
