Well I hear that most meats arent very healthy for you!. So things like veggie burgers and nuggets!.!.!.!.!.are those healthy!? or just as bad for you as a regular burger!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's give or take - it depends what it's made of!.

Some are alright, especially if you take the time to make your own food!.

Unfortunately if you're buying it from a national brand-name company, picking it out of the freezer at a chain store, I wouldn't count on it being healthy!. There's additives in there from processed, fractioned soy and corn, protein isolates from everything under the sun - corn, soy, peas - flavoring extracts ( natural or artificial don't differ much, it's all molecularly rearranged fractioned material, be it synthetic or just processed corn isolate that is so messed around with it can taste like raspberries - how else can they make high fructose corn syrup out of something quite savory!?)

Then again, most meat in the grocery store is not only ethically irrresponsible to purchase, but raised on a diet that is heavy in chemical ingredients much like what goes in to make a veggie burger, but in far greater concentrations!. Hormones, antibiotics, chemical additives, fractioned and re-assembled food particles so that they're not natural any longer, but rather made to forcibly fatten a creature against their will at a rapid pace!.

I would say that the meatless ones are the better choice, anyway!. A diet that is void of meat products greatly reduces the odds of getting cancer, heart disease or many other potential problems!. Even if you eat like a pig as a vegetarian, you are far more likely to have artherosclerosis and die of heart failure as a meat-eater, even a moderate one, than a vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Most meats are not unhealthy!. Eating too much of it or eating those with high amounts of visible fat is!.

As for mock meats, they are processed food and and have the qualities of such!. Some can be good, some can be bad (both in taste and nutrition)!. As one mentioned, cooking or praparation can also make a difference!. Read and compare labels then make your choice!. As for taste, that's going to be a hit or miss as taste is a matter of !.!.!.!. well taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Meat is healthy if you eat a proper diet!. Hotdogs are highly processed food that contain loads of salt and unsaturated fats!. Burgers have a bad rep because they are usually made with low quality beef!. Red meat should be consumed sparingly!. At high quantities, it is linked to colon cancer and other health problems!.

Veggi burgers are made from vegetables!. I believe their main ingredients are mushrooms, beans, and potatoes!. There are other non-meat products such a Quorn!. I find they are healthier than hotdogs/burgers!. They don't contain the large amounts of saturated fats and their ingredients are vegetable based!.

However, there are healthier foods to eat than imitation meats!. If you buy them pre-made, they will contain a lot of sodium!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lean meat is healthy for you (in moderation)!. Get 96/4 ground sirloin, or extra-lean ground turkey, or lean pork chops!. Skirt & flank steaks have very little fat in them !.!.!.!.!.!. You'd need to check the labels on "fake" meat to see how many additives, preservatives & chemicals are in there (also the sodium levels)!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well really no food is health for that u buy unless its organic!. all food & drinks these days they use preservatives and chemicals in them!. but its a good thing that they use preservative cause we live longer because of that!. they veggie burger is ok but it has much higher fat content the nuggets the lard they use to cook it is bad

Hopes this helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on how you prepare them!. If you deep-fry a veggie nugget, it's going to be pretty unhealthy, just like a chicken nugget!. If you bake it, it's going to be less unhealthy!.

Look at the ingredients list!. The biggest risk with most of these items is high sodium and other additives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, some of the items are fired, and have plenty of things like cheese/eggs in them o some might have a high fat/cholesterol in them!.!.!. but over all it's way better, and healthier THAN actual meat!. Just check the nutrition facts on the sides of the boxesWww@FoodAQ@Com

They are good and generally healthier!. Although, it's obvious that it isn't meat as far as taste goes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

hm, boca burgers are 100 calories and 1 gram of fat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, they have less calories and are actually made with soy!.
