I've heard that 3 T!. of nuts/seeds is all a person should have per day!. It has been said that anymore than that is unnecessary calories!.

I am vegan and don't eat soy!. My diet is incidentally lowcal besides the nuts/seeds!. Does the 3 T!. rule still apply!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
NO!. We must get our FATS some place!. Nuts, Seeds, Oils(EVOO) Avocados etc!. are needed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm a runner and I go through half a can of nuts/ nut butter everyday and my weight has not changed in years!.

As long as your diet is balanced, getting the proper percentage of fats, protein, and carbs, I say you're fine!.

Nuts are also healthy fats and it is much better that you are getting your fats from nuts/ seeds/ avocado/ coconut than say, a Happy Meal!.

Too much of anything is not good for you!. Variety is key!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you a desk jockey or an athlete!?

You need to do some reading on nutrition!. A healthy diet includes two kinds of fiber - digestible and indigestible!. If you are cutting out all beans and not just soy, you are losing out on the digestible kind that dissolves sludge inside your intestines, which can, over time, create an inner lining where there shouldn't be one, severely shortening organ life!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, excess protein would be just converted to fat!. 3TB is enough if you eat normally!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
