Vegans would u be opposed to someone consuming dariy and eggs from their own farm?!

Question: Vegans would u be opposed to someone consuming dariy and eggs from their own farm!?
I am a vegetartian and I complelty understand why one would not want to consume store bought dairy and eggs due to the crulety!. But if they take the eggs from their own chickens and milk from their own cows, do you see this as crule!? Would you eat it if you knew the animals were not abused!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Absolutely! That is exactly what I would want!. The only problem is that with dairy, you have to get a cow pregnant to produce milk!. What do you do with the baby cow!? Do you sell it to someone who is going to put it in a veal crate!? Do you let it grow up and then sell it for slaughter!? You would need to have a baby cow every year in order to keep getting milk, so either you'd need to have a lot of land and start a herd, or there is the potential for some abuse!.

I would never eat meat no matter how humanely treated, but if you can find a way to solve the problems above, I might eat cheese and butter!.

Eggs are fine with me!. I have friends with free range chickens and if I liked eggs, I would eat theirs!. But I think they are gross!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sure, so long as they're not calling themselves vegan!.

My husband and I have contemplated the same scenario, as we plan on buying an acreage and hobby farm next year when my husband is finished school so that we can rescue farm animals, and we expect we'll have some chickens!.

When chickens are happy and well cared for, and their eggs are left as waste, then I don't see any problem using them IN THEORY!. That said, I think eggs are pretty disgusting, and their negative effects on my artery walls are not worth consuming them!.

As for dairy, no!. Absolutely no!. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not a baby calf, it's completely unnatural and unethical of you to be drinking the milk of a cow!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some would be opposed!.

I'm a vegetarian, i don't eat dairy or buy egg products, but i do eat eggs from my own farm hens and you'd be surprised what some people in here call me!.

Here are some of the comments I've received from vegans in this forum because i'm a vegetarian:

I'm lazy, selfish, dont' care for animals, lacking knowledge, have no self control, I'm "fake", ignorant, unable to "do vegan because its too hard", i'm also vegetarian because i want the attention, I'm not that passionate about the cause, I make excuse after excuse, I'm lying to myself and I'm not very educated on animal cruelty and just a wanna-beeWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would be opposed to it simply because one of the reasons I don't eat meat is for better health!. No matter where the milk came from, I wouldn't drink it b/c I don't think humans are supposed to drink the milk of another species!.
Regardless of where the eggs came from, I wouldn't eat those either b/c I think eggs are bad for the cardiovascular system!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, I don't impose my decisions on other people, for one thing!. I am opposed to consuming dairy and eggs myself, regardless of the origin!. But I can sure as hell recognize that someone keeping animals on their own, under humane conditions, and taking milk and eggs is a huge, vast world away from purchasing commercial eggs and dairy!. I would wonder where they got the animals (did they support an inhumane operation buy buying animals from them, or were they rescues!?) and I would wonder what they planned on doing with the animals once they stopped producing (keep them as treasured pets or!.!.!.!?)Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are intended to be a vegetarian, but not vegetarianism (sorry for that, lol)!.
Eating the vegetarian diet is just a small part of vegetarianism, but never stops at eating habit alone!. The whole package is concerning !.!.!.

Cruelty (Nonviolence)
Intuition, Conscience
Health
Mercy, Love, Care, Compassion
Hunger & Starvation
Resources
World issue
Pollution
Golden Rule

To think out-of-the-box !.!.!.

Would you mind for people dying on hunger, starvation and famine in OTHER countries!?

Would you mind for eating of adorable animals like cats & dogs at your NEIGHBORHOOD or in any OTHER part of the world!?

Would you mind for domestic violence, human massacre, terrorism, tyrant dictation, baby corpse eating and cannibalism in OTHER countries!?

For the same reason WHY vegan/vegetarian’s circle for mercy, care & compassion expands UNCONDITIONALLY, without barrier!.

VEGETARIANISM / VEGANISM NEVER STOPS AT EATING HABIT ALONE!. Boycott eating the animals / by-product is just one of the reason to create socio-economic impact on widespread cruel industry!. You could not change the world overnight, but everyone!. If more public come to know the truth, the outcry would be much louder!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We used to own chickens and goats, and I drank the milk and ate the eggs!. Chickens lay eggs, there's nothing to stop that!. It's worse to let them rot!. So yes, I think it is perfectly acceptable to eat the eggs!.

Milk is different, though!. To get the milk, you must first impregnate the animal and then milk the goat/cow after the baby has been weened!. That's not natural, and if you didn't bother milking the animal it would eventually stop producing milk, as is natural!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Like one answer said, as long as the person wasn't to label themselves vegan!. I'm a proud vegan and even if I had my own farm with happy chickens - no I would not eat their eggs that were left as waste!. I do not believe in using animals for personal benefit or advantage!.

And what could you honestly benefit from a chicken's menstural waste!? I have no desire nor need to consume animal products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

some day we want to have our own little place, we both grew up on the farm and look forward to having our OWN BIG garden, a few chickens, and a couple goats just because!.!.!.!.

we are veg and use eggs occasionally (corn bread)!.!.!.with my own chickens at least I will know what is there!.!.!.!.

never tried anything from goat but they are small and it is still a far off idea!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's not the fact that is cruel it's the fact that it's from an animal and animals shouldn't have to serve humans with their products they make!. Cow's milk is for there young, not humans!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a vegan and I still wouldn't eat dairy and eggs even if it came from my own farm!. I don't need nor do I want food that comes from animals!. There is plenty for me to eat as a vegan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!. I will eat them!.
I really hope I have the land to have my own pet goats for milk!. But I live in the city!. So it's not going to happen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's their life who am I to judge them!. I'd only be concerned if I saw them abusing the animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

obviously not, vegeterians dont eat non-veg !.even if u get it from a store or your own farm its going to be non veg!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no i wouldn't eat that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no i don't see a problem with that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think it depends on the person!.!.!. I am vegetarian but not vegan!. I have many vegan friends and even tho they wish I would go vegan they don't rant on about it like some other vegans do!.!.
some vegans need to be careful about judging because they never know!.!.!.!. sometimes their so ya products come from farms in south America that are on clear cut land that use to be rain forest!.!.!. they drink red wine and Starbucks coffee!.!.!.!.
my point is you can not judge because no one is 100% doing perfect by animals!.!.!.
so if your actively trying to get eggs and diary products from animals that are treated well than I do not see a problem!Www@FoodAQ@Com
