Help Me Explain!?!

Question: Help Me Explain!!?
I haven't seen my dad for 4 months because he has been away on business!. I get to see him in 2 weeks which is kind of exciting except for one thing!. Within the last 4 months I have became vegetarian!. I know my dad will support me but I am almost sure my step mom will sneak meat into my food or won't let me cook my own meat-less food!. She is really stubborn!. My mom said that I should tell her before I go so she can prepare but I know she will freak over the phone!. My stepdad suggested email!. I know that she will try to get my dad to help her make me eat meat!.

So how do I tell them that I am a vegetarian!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You should be old enough to eat your own food!. Stick up for yourself!. Don't let the evil stepmother touch your food!. Your dad will understand!. They might think you will try and make them a veggie too!. It's not that hard!. Opt for going out to restaurants and choose vegetarian food and explain to them then!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think you are overreacting!.unless you have had trouble with her before!.tell your dad you have become a vegi!.and are enjoying it!.and intend to continue!.and you would like very much to have his support!.i dont see a problem!.good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

So make your own food!.!.!.tell them and deal with it if the sneak it in!.!.!.uve only been goin for 4 months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would probably tell your dad alone tell him why and when you became a vegetarian Get him to explain it to your step mother then that night when your step mother says something about it reminder about the reasons why you are a vegetarian and how much it means to you!. So far as sneaking meat into your food I am not sure why don't you try making a easy super like salad or a sandwhich the fir st few nights that she knows then make something pasta that is a little harder to make and takes more time maybe this way you can keep a watch full I on her of make it harder to sneak in meat!. If she does then pick around it or get a different plate to put it on!.If you do eat meat then keep trying to be a vegetarian!. She'll give up some time or another!. And remember your doing the right thing by being a vegetarian your can save little harmless animals!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

hey- i'm a veggie and a Mom- BE PrePared- start now you have 2 weeks to put together all your research on how to be a healthy veggie-you'll need to show them you KNOW what you are doing & talking about!. IMPRESS them - tell the Mom's in your life YOU would like to invite them to a dinner yyou prepare-you will cook a nice veggie meal & over dinner while they enjoy the food YOU have made start a conversation about your decision to become veggie & you will need their support - get them involved so they don't feel alienated by your choices-website for mostly Mom's "Go Red for Women" - by American Heart Assoc!. - (it would be good for their heart health for them to try veggie food with you) - really nice for all ages - recipes - nutritional FACTS!. you will need to make a menu - plan a shopping list for the meal you make - try to keep simple!. maybe first try it out on Mom you live with - put all together whole thing dinner n'all & the veggie talk-her support!.!.!.!.!.!.then it will be like practice - THEN when you see Dad & other Mom it will be a bit easier hopefully!. now it is in your hands - you can do it! a veggie Mom in your cornor:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh god, what an evil step mother she is, hey!? She shouldn't do that to you!.!.!.

If she doesn't accept you being a vegetarian, ask your dad to talk to her for you!. Bring your own food that you can cook yourself so she doesn't sneak meat in your meals!. If she cooks something for you, look in it first and check to see if there is no meat at all!.

Or you don't have to tell your step mom at all!. Buy Morning Star products or Yves and pretend it's real meat!. Don't tell her its vegetarian/vegan friendly!.!.!. The mock meat looks like actual meat and tastes like actual meat :D

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
