What is this Irish dish called?!


Question: What is this Irish dish called!?
It is basically mashed potato and finely chopped cabbage mixed together!.

Saw it done on Masterchef, of all places, bt missed what it was called!.

By the way, it's ab!.fab!. but you need quite a bit of black pepper in it when mashing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Colcannon - a variation on it would be champ - mashed potato with spring onions!. My MIL cooks the cabbage or spring onion in a little milk before adding it to the potato!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Colcannon!. Mash potatoes with scallions is called champ!.
