Can a serious ballerina go vegetarian?!

Question: Can a serious ballerina go vegetarian!?
I'm an extremely serious dancer and I plan to have a professional ballet career!. I also want to be vegetarian, for many reasons!. Would it be unhealthy for me to cut meat out of my diet, because of my dance!? My mom is arguing with me about it because she says I won't get enough protein from beans, nuts, quinoa, tofu, things like that!. Please help me!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There's absolutely no reason you can't go veggie and be healthy whatever you do, even extreme excercise like ballet!.

It might be worth making sure you eat the right veggies to give your body what it needs though!. also vitamin tablets might be a good idea (that meat eaters on the whole, me included, actually more often need than veggies)

Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Anyone can go veg, but EVERYONE needs to be careful!. Its difficult to avoid the junk foods, just because it's something you can actually eat, and you have to make a serious effort to get your protein in!. But overall, it's an extremely healthy way to live and not difficult to maintain once you get in the habit!.
I encourage you to do it, but you must make a conscious effort to eat more than you currently do, because you require more food to get the same protein and fat levels obtained from meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

of course its ok!. and your mom is wrong, you get lots of protien and nutrience from beans, nuts, quinoa, tofu, and things like that!. so its fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sure its ok!.!.!.as long as u eat the right foods and are getting the nutrients u need!.!.then I dont think its a problem!. I know basketball players who are vegeterians from birthWww@FoodAQ@Com
