Answers:
Rayann, it can make you healthier to eat low-processed and lower on the food chain, this may be better for you than eating strictly vegetarian!.

I know a woman who is 370 pounds that is a 'vegetarian', but she consumes almost 4,000 calories a day and is eating usually very processed foods!. She is VERY UNHEALTHY, but she tricks herself into believing she is healthy, and then she acts superior to people who are not vegetarians, this keeps her in denial because she can't face her unhealthy eating choices!. She is an example of a bad vegetarian!.

You can get protein from non meat sources:
Eating a complex carb along with beans is a complete source of protein, and lacks much of the fat found in red meat!. Soybeans are complete proteins on there own!. (etc, look in links)

I hope you do keep a little fish and milk in your diet, females are at higher risk for nutritional deficiencies like;
b12
b1
iron
folate
CA+

If you go vege or not, please get a blood test to determine if you have these issues, because you will have to supplement them!. Protein is not the most important part of a diet anyway!. If you eat too much protein the excess will be converted to FAT!. The main thing you want is to cover all the bases of your nutritional needs!. So become an expert by learning what healthful eating is!.

Becoming a vegetarian can be bad for your health if done ignorantly, but if you prepare and do your eating nutrient dense and calorie light it can be more healthful than being a meat consumer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's definitely NOT bad!. It's better for you, for the animals, for our children and for the planet in general!. Humans were not designed to eat meat in the first place!. Our teeth resemble those of a cow (square, flat, wide), who is an herbivore, more than a tiger who is a carnivore!. Our digestive system also, is similar to herbivores in that our intestines curve round and round!. A carnivore's digestive tract is straight!. As far as protein sources are concerned, there are many ways to get enough protein in your diet, chemically as well as naturally (protein powder and fortified products vs!. beans, peas, tofu)!. Some of the leading killers in America today, including heart disease, cancer, obesity, and strokes, are directly linked to meat-based diets!. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in America today, and it is caused by the build-up of cholesterol and saturated fat from animal products in our arteries!. The only two doctors in human history who have successfully reversed heart disease have included an exclusively vegetarian diet as a part of their programs!. The average vegan cholesterol level is 133 (compared to 210 for meat-eaters); there are no documented cases of heart attacks in individuals with cholesterol under 150!. Other health problems tied to clogged arteries, like poor circulation and atherosclerotic strokes, can be virtually eliminated with a vegan diet!.

Vegans are approximately one-ninth as likely to be obese as meat-eaters and have a cancer rate that is only 40 percent that of meat-eaters!. People who consume animal products are also at increased risk for many other illnesses, including strokes, obesity, osteoporosis, arthritis, Alzheimer's, multiple allergies, diabetes, and food poisoning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually, vegetarians live longer- by an average of 6 years!. They have significantly lower rates of heart disease, colon cancer, type 2 diabetes and digestive disorders!.

The body doesn't require protein- it requires amino acids, most of which are made by recycling dead tissues!. Of the ones which must come from food, ALL are found in plant sources!.

Protein deficiency is almost unheard of outside of famine conditions!. Generally, if you consume enough calories you'll get enough "protein!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

nope!. protien is just amino acids!. fruits and especially veggies like spinach and beans have a TON amino acids!. and anyways too much protien is bad for you!. protien needs calium to be broken down to be useful for your cells!. too much protien and your bones will start secreting their calium deposits to help the protien to break down!.
