That's great you're interested in vegetarianism!. You can become vegetarian at any age!. You wouldn't be considered a vegetarian if you ate meat!. If you stop eating meat at the age of 18, you'd be vegetarian!.
There are lots of protein sources besides nuts!. Some examples are black beans, fake meats, garbanzo beans (chickpeas), kidney beans, lentils, lima beans, pinto beans, seitan, soybeans, soymilk, sunflower seeds, and tofu!. I wouldn't let your allergies prevent you from going vegetarian if that's what you want to do!.
You can download or buy the "We Are Not Nuggets" poster here: http://www!.petaliterature!.com/prodinfo!.a!.!.!.
You can get involved in animal rights by joining the Street Team for teens and young adults: http://www!.peta2!.com/STREETTEAM/index!.as!.!.!.
Use sites like MySpace and YouTube to post videos and spread the word about animal rights issues!. You can pass out leaflets and stickers!. (Order them here: http://www!.petaliterature!.com/ ) Buy non-animal tested products as much as possible!. Maybe there's an animal rights group in your area that needs people to join their protests!. Volunteering at animal shelters is another good way to help!. Thanks for wanting to get involved!Www@FoodAQ@Com

So, you'll stop eating meat at school but eat it at home!? That's not vegetarianism, but if you use it as a stepping stone to go veg, I'd call it a start!. ;]Www@FoodAQ@Com
You couldn't call yourslef a vegetarian until your 18, when you stop eating meat!. If your still eating meat, your not vegetarian!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

By the way, that we are not nuggets poster thingy is what turned me vegetarian five years ago (when i was 11 I saw it in a magazine and its been on my wall ever since, its pretty much what keeps me motivated, although its become something I dont even think about anymore really because its been part of my life for so long!. but yeah im rambaling(sp!?) why not try going vegetarian now!? my family kept saying comments about it for awhile, but they stop!. Its really great for your health and all that stuff you know about!. but anyway good luck :DWww@FoodAQ@Com

Okay well I wished you would have worded that a little better I was getting kind of confused!.
I have to say you gave up way to easily when the rest of your family laughed except your mom!. My family does and they don't take me seriously about it, but I am!. I do it anyways!. It sounds like your mom is very supportive of it!. You can't just give up though because some people laugh because someones gonna laugh at you for something!.
There are other ways to get protein other thab peanuts!.!.!.do a little research online about protein rich foods other than meat!.
Okay so I'm not sure exactly how old you are, but your definatley under 18 right!? Well you can start now if you want!.!.!.you just have to be willing (along with your mom) to be able to do some research and find out what you can eat!.!.!.maybe help your mom do the grocery shopping!. The rest of the family can still eat meat too!. There's ways to do it!. Like when my mom makes spagetti, she put meat in the sauce, but she always makes a little meat less sauce on the side for me!.
If you don't want to become a vegetarian until you move out however you can cut back on your meat now, at least!.
From what you said "am I classified a vegetarian if I stop eating meat when im 18"!.!.!.I didn't know if you meant "Am I calssified a vegetarian now, if I stop eating meat when I'm 18!." and to that I would have to say no!.!.!.because your still eating meat and the vegetarian is defined as someone who doesn't eat meat, possible not eggs or dairy either!. If that's not what your asking then please word that a little better!.
And I have no idea where to get that poster!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
