We had trouble cooking the veggie burgers in the restaurant I was working in trying to grill them or heat them on the flat top!. They came out great by deep-frying them!.
Definitely try different brands!. Ours had basil and garlic in them and they were actually pretty good!. They were mostly rice and grains I think!. I'd steer clear of any fake burger that tries to taste like beef!.
also try cooking portabella mushrooms for your fake burgers!. They can taste a lot like beef esp if you marinate them in Italian dressing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I really like Amy's brand veggie burgers :] they don't really need anything but a bun! But With more traditional brands like Boca and Morningstar, I find that cooking them on the stove in some olive oil in a covered skillet really makes them taste better (it locks in the mositure or something)!. And I usually eat them with ground red pepper and mayonaisse :P yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Soy cheese, ketchup, mustard, relish, bbq sauce, mushrooms, cucumbers, tomato!.!.!.anything!. Just experiment around!.
I don't really eat them!. I like the chick'n patties better!.
Perhaps you should try a different brand!. also you will get used to it after you eat a few!. It takes a little time to adjust to new foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
