Veg*ns and muscle!?!


Question: Veg*ns and muscle!!?
Ok lately my cousins friend has been questioning my diet!. I didnt start by lecturing him or ranting on about animal abuse, he started commenting on me!. He said that we dont tear muscle as easy and that its been proven meat eaters are healthier then veg*ns!. Is he right!? I eat perfectly healthy and play tennis, I run laps and swim laps every week!. Im in good condition but I just cant stand the fact that certain people will never accept my diet choices!. Is his theory correct or not!? ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

You might want to tell him that studies show that people who eat a vegetarian/vegen diet ahve lower death rates from ischemic heart disease; lower blood cholesterol levels; lower blood pressure; and lower rates of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and prostate and colon cancer!.

I don' t know of any studies that show vegens tear muscle easier than meat eaters!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It has actually been scientifically and medically proven that a vegan diet is the healthiest on the planet!.

I don't think it's true!. I weight train (heavy) three times per week and I more toned than what I was when I ate meat!. I think I tear/repair my muscles just fine!. :-)

Everyone is different and of course we'll never find a blanket assumption that fits each veg*n!.
As far as who's healthier, both diets can be fatal if done improperly!. But overall, I'd say that a veg diet is healthier as we have less instances of heart disease, high cholesterol and cancer: three of the biggest killers in the US!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You are right we are healthier we get all the protein we need from veggies, tempe soy products ",we never have cholesterol "!.!.!.!. but if we don't get enough protein, our muscle could detach, I saw this once when a brother in law wanted to be come a vegetarian and wasn't crazy about tofu, he loves being one now and saving one more animal!. thanks for sharing please remind your cousin its been proven we are healthyerWww@FoodAQ@Com
