Question: Can I eat calcium fortified bread if i dont eat dairy!?
Does calcium fortified bread contain dairy!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Most breads I can think of are dairy free, but check the ingredients to be absolutely certain that it's a vegan product!. Alternatively you can call the manufacturer!.

Breads that are fortified with calcium do provide quite a significant amount of the mineral- about 100mg per slice!. Aim for about 1000mg of calcium per day!. This doesn't mean eating 10 slices of bread as bread tends to be salty!. It's best to vary your sources of calcium!.

Calcium fortified dairy free milks (such as rice or soy milk), green leafy vegetables, calcium set tofu, beans, nuts (especially almonds) and green leafy vegetables such as broccoli are great sources of vegan calcium!. It's an important bone building mineral so keep your levels up every day!. I hope this helps!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know about bread but you can get orange juice that's calcium fortified!. I would also get Almond milk!.!.!.tastes great and has calcium!. Its sold at many stores like Albertsons!.!.!.its in the cereal section because it doesn't need refrigeration!. If they don't have it go to the health food store!. Almond Breeze is the name!.

you can also get calcium from -

Salmon
Tofu
Rhubarb
Sardines
Collard greens
Spinach
Turnip greens
Okra
White beans
Baked beans
Broccoli
Peas
Brussel sprouts
Sesame seeds
Bok choy
AlmondsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Read the ingredients!. I don't understand how people can be vegan and not follow this simple rule!.

Calcium does not = dairy!. You can get it from tons of things!. Just because something has calcium, it doesn't have to have dairy in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dairy is DEFINITELY not the only source of calicum, so do not assume that because something has calcium in it it must have dairy!. Cows do not "make" calcium - they get it from eating plant materials!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Although it sounds tempting, the calcium in those products are miniscule compared to how negative the nutritional effects are!. Fortified bread is just another rubbish food on the market!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can eat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
