Answers:
Check the ingredients on "marshmallow fluff" - once upon a time it was vegetarian (though not vegan) but I haven't looked at a jar in years and formulas change!. If you have a Whole Foods, you may be able to find "Sweet & Sara" marshmallows, which are vegan and very good (although significantly more expensive than the gelatinous variety!.) They also make s'mores!. There is a brand of "ricemallow fluff" that is definitely vegan, although I don't know where you can find it (Whole Foods would be the place to start unless you have a vegan grocery in your area!.) There's also a company called Angel Food out of New Zealand that sells kits with all the ingredients for making your own vegan marshmallows - you'd have to mail order them so it wouldn't help with your current craving, but it might be fun to make your own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ingredients:
2 oz arrowroot powder
1/2 cup cold water
2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cups corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
Confectioners' sugar for dredging

From here on proceed like a regular marshmallow recipe!.
substituting arrow root for gelatin I don't have time to try this one out before I answer I think!.!.!. you may need a tad more arrow root but try it out!.

Oh you should try banana soup that's a good recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well if you are a pescetarian, you can buy kosher marshmallows, which uses fish gelatin instead of pig!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
