Question: Substituting banana for egg in a recipe!.!.!.
I am wanting to make sugar cookies and replace the egg with banana and baking soda (I found that suggestion on another site)!. Has anyone tried this before!? Will it give the cookies a banana flavor because I don't want that!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
it only needs to be half a banana, but you can use one whole one!. it needs to be properlly mashed and all the yucky bits taken out, it might give it a slight flavour but not a full on banana muffin type flavour!. It's actually a very good method for replacing eggs in sweet foods!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes the banana flavor comes over !.But it is very mild

we have a banana here in Mexico which can be used as a substitute for flour ,to make tortillas !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
