STIR FRY! you can mix in extra firm tofu (cubed) into pretty much any stir fry!. Sometimes, I will fry the tofu in vegetable oil first, which gives it a really nice crispy crust and a soft inside!. Sauces are important as tofu is somewhat bland!.

I also like to cut slivers of it and put it in egg rolls that I make!. Delicious!.

You can marinate extra firm tofu in a soy-based sauce overnight and bake it at 350 for 30-60 minutes and chop and serve over salad!. Amazing!.

Silken tofu can also be used to make custards and puddings and what not!. Not really sure how to make it, but Tofutti make a really good cream cheese substitute using tofu!.

The great thing about tofu is that it can be made to taste like just about anything because its so absorbent and is relatively tasteless on its own!. I always recommend to people to buy the good fresh stuff you find near the salad in the super market!. Its packed in water, and you will have to let it dry out a little before using it!. The stuff dry in a tight package has its uses, but not really if tofu is going to be the star of the plate!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get some firm tofu, slice it and soak it in a bit of soy sauce and ginger!. Stir fry some vegetables and add the tofu and heat it up !.!.!.

Add diced firm tofu to ANY soup, especially one with lots of veggies!. It's excellent with vegetarian minestrone soup, but I also like it in things like broccoli cheese soup, and cream of asparagus soup!.

Dice cold tofu and toss with your green salad, some tomatoes and cucumber, top with a nice vinaigrette dressing !.!.!. tofu is 'protein' so that could be your main dish, with some nice garlic bread!.

Mix raw egg and milk and dip slices of firm tofu in flour, the egg and milk, and then some breading !.!.!. saute in a little canola oil and add herbs after !.!.!. use some chili on some, blackened red fish rub on some, and even use things like sugar (powdered is GREAT) and serve as hors d'oeuvres!.

I've given you a few ideas, but I'll bet you can think of many other good ways to use tofu !.!.!. just be sure to give it some sort of 'flavor' since tofu has no flavor, but 'picks up' the flavor of the food it's cooked with or in!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can add tofu to any recipe because it takes the flavor of whatever you're cooking!.

My favorite is stir-fry with tofu!. I just use the frozen stir-fry, follow the directions on the bag, and add cubed tofu!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it works well in soups or stews!.

if your eating tofu, i'm guessing ur somewut a health nut or else i'd say bread and fry a bit is real good!.!.!.
then again, if u can eat tofu and enjoy it!.!. it really don't matter how you cook it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

One problem: you can't use the words 'good' and 'tofu' in the same sentence!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
