Vegan: Souplantation...?!

Question: Vegan: Souplantation!.!.!.!?
Hello there, about a week from now I'll have to meet my cousins (that I don't think I've ever met) and we'll be eating at Souplantation for dinner!. But here's the catch: I'm vegan!

Now, before we get along to what I want to say, please keep in mind I'm really, really bad at going to places that are non-vegan!. Souplantation MAY be a little lenient on that whole vegetarian thing, but even so, I'm not good with going to places like that!. I don't know, but perhaps I make everything too obvious and I can't suppress my feelings enough, but I guess you could usually tell when I'm mad or disturbed, for that matter!.

My sister and mother is also going, but that's okay for them!. It's great for them!. They're vegetarians!. They can pig out on most things there!. Lucky for them, yay!. But I can't, and I'm not going to make this occasion for an excuse to eat eggs or dairy!. No, no, no!. I'm not that easy to slip on my feet with veganism!.

Thing is, I checked Souplantation's website and they fortunately label the things there that's vegan!. However, I'm not exactly the group of vegans who enjoys eating salads!. Especially without any dressing!.!. and the other foods they listed don't seem all that great, either!. I doubt the vegan foods listed are even available at the Souplantation I'm going to!.

Maybe I should just eat beforehand and pretend I'm eating there!? Which is actually a pretty good idea, but a good pile waste of money!. I can eat a lil' there!.

Ah, last time I went to Souplantation's for my sister's birthday, I had the beesssstttt dinner ever!. Potatoes! I don't even know if they were vegan for that matter!. Oh, and throw in some water here and there!. Some tomato soup, which I didn't know if it was vegan or not!. But at the end, I ate some bread!.!. which was probably non-vegan!. But I was extremely extremely hungry at that time I even resorted to that!. Of course, I'm not that un-dedicated to veganism than I was before, so I won't be making the same mistake again!.!. I had a stomachache afterwards!.!. I'm pretty sure I did!.

So, help!?
>:

Anything that won't make me seem rude!. I was thinking of baking my own vegan stuff and eating scraps of it there, but er, I don't think that'll work!.

And, what do I do about my unhappiness with going to non-vegan restaurants!? We can't change it!.!. ):

Hi, I often go to non-vegan restaurants, either because of my job, relatives, or eating with non-vegan friends!. Although I would prefer eating at a vegan restaurant, I realize this isn't practical all of the time
!.
Souplantation is a place I like to go with my non-vegan friends, familiy and co-workers!. They always have at least some vegan soups and prepared salads (lettuce-free ones like potato, rice, etc), along with baked potatoes which are vegan, and fruit!. I always put olive oil and balsamic vinegar on my salad- it makes a great vegan dressing!. You're right- not all of the vegan items listed on their site are always available- it seems to vary each month!. I suggest calling (888) 374-8360 for their current menu!.

It sounds like you plan on eating ahead of time, then just nibble on food at the restaurant!. Since vegan options ARE available, why not try eating whatever vegan items you can at the restaurant!. You can always eat something later on if you're still hungry!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

plain baked potatoes are always vegan & i know souplantation has those!. i don't know if they have any vegan soups!. you can always make a salad with beans & lots of veggies and use oil and vinegar or italian dressing (it's usually vegan, but you might be able to find out online)!. the restaurant also has fruit!. sourdough bread is almost always vegan so you can probably have that but no muffins!.

remember beans! beans are really yummy and they have a lot of protein so they're filling!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have to, ask if you can order something that's not on the menu!. I've never met someone who was unwilling to assist me after I explained!. And if the service is good, be sure to leave a nice tip, maybe even additional to one that the host leaves with a little thank you note!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
