Hey, I'm looking for a really tasty baked nacho dip recipe for a Mexican Party my parents are going to have!. I'm looking for something with different layers, that you put in the oven and heat up!. Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but really good alternative:

in a crock pot heat 2 packages cream cheese and 2 cans vegetarian chili on the low setting, stir!. Throw some shredded cheddar on top!. (Adjust quantities as needed)!.

Serve with Tostito scoops!.

It's so simple but people just love it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baked Layered Nacho Dip (8 servings)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds cooked and spiced TVP or morgning star or boca crumbles
1 pckg taco seasoning mix
3 cups of refried or/and black beans
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
16 ounces shredded Vegan Gormet Nacho Cheese or nacho cheese sauce
1/2 cup diced green and/or red peppers
4 to 6 ounces sliced black olives
2-3 tomatoes, washed and diced
tortilla chips, for serving
salt and pepper, to taste
Optional toppings/side serving: hot sauce, Toffuti sour cream, jalapeno peppers, pico de Gallo to taste, guacamole, Toffuti cream cheese, salsa, shredded lettuce, avocado, whatever else you like!.

Instructions:
1!. Fry 'beef' crumbles, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and bell peppers together in skillet until fully cooked!. Then stir in taco seasoning, hot sauce or salsa!.
2!. Grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish and spread bottom with tortilla chips, then spread beans on top of the chips!. Sprinkle about 1/3 of the cheese over the beans, and then add another layer of chips!. Top with the 'beef crumbles', sprinkle remaining cheese on top!.
3!. Sprinkle 1/2 cup green and/or red peppers over cheese, and bake at 375 degrees for 15-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly!.
4!. Spoon onto plates!. Top with optional toppings of your choice!. (hot sauce, Toffuti sour cream, jalapeno peppers, pico de Gallo to taste, guacamole, Toffuti cream cheese, salsa, shredded lettuce, avocado, whatever else you like!.)

Nacho Sauce:
Nacho Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
3 Tablespoons soy margarine
1/2-1 cup water
1/2 cup salsa of choice
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Toffuti sour cream
1/4 teaspoon garlic granules
2 teaspoons tumeric
1 Tablespoon soy sauce or Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
1-4 dashes of chili (cayenne) pepper
Directions:
Tip: For a spicier or milder version add more salsa or sour cream until desired taste is achieved!. Try to stir almost constantly to avoid clumping!. If clumps appear, spread them out until smooth, and continue stirring!.
Combine nutritional yeast and pastry flour in small bowl
Heat 3 Tablespoons margarine in skillet over medium heat to melt
Stir in yeast and flour mixture
Very carefully, add 1/2-1 cup water to yeast, flour, and margarine mix!. The amount of water added will vary!. Adding too little will not form a sauce, but too much will make it too watery!. also, adding too much water too soon will cause the yeast-flour-margarine mix to clump, making it harder to stir into a creamy paste!.
Once desired cream consistency has been reached, stir in garlic granules, add salsa and blend well
Add Vegan Sour Cream and mix until blended!.
Add tumeric until blended!. Then add soy sauce and blend!.
Finally, add 1-4 dashes of chili (cayenne) pepper!. (You will want to take this 1 dash at a time so to avoid making it too hot)!.

Nacho cheese (Salsa con Queso) Option 2:
Ingredients:
* 2-3 Tablespoons Earth Balance margarine
* 5 heaping tablespoons flour (use stone-ground wheat flour, it's healthier)
* 2 cups plain soymilk
* 1/2 block of Vegan Gourmet cheddar or nacho cheese, shredded
* 1 can of green chiles with diced tomatoes, drained
* 1 small can diced jalape?os, more if you like it hot
* Frank's red hot sauce, to desired heat
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, heat the vegan margarine to bubbly!.
Add flour!. Make sure that there is enough margarine to flour (you may need to add a little extra margarine)!. Mix well!.
Add soymilk, and heat to boiling!. Blend the flour into the milk to remove lumps!.
Add vegan cheddar!. Stir constantly and heat through!. Add remaining ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
