I got stronger, not weaker and so did my immune system!. It happened over a few years,so changes were gradual!.Although I was not fat when I used to eat animal products, I got thinner gradually till I reached a healthy "thin" weight!. I can't say I noticed my complexion changing !.
As for changes within myself,as I said my change in diet took a few years and was so gradual that it would be difficult to tell whether I would have changed anyway with age!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

But,yes ,I am a happier person than when I was an omnivore!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been vegetarian for 17 years!. The 1st 3 months (when I was 18) I did feel very weak!. But I quickly learned that making protein and vitamins a big part of my diet were essential!.

Eating a vegetarian diet all these years has been wonderful for me!. I had to learn to eat many things I previously never tried!. There are TONS of ways to eat healthy as a vegetarian/vegan!. Think of India, a country FULL of vegetarians!!

If you are feeling weak and pale that means you are not getting a healthy balance of protein and vitamins!. Contrary to popular belief, you can supplement your diet without swallowing pills and eating dairy!. Dairy is actually UNhealthy!! You can get iron, calcium, and tons of vitamins from many non-meat/non-dairy sources if you do a little research and seek them out!.

There are TOO many people out there that will argue that meat and diary are essential but the millions of healthy vegetarians/vegan prove otherwise!.

You need to understand that you can not simply stop eating meat and expect to be healthy!. You have to bring a lot of variety into your diet and be certain to get the proper balance of nutrition on a daily basis!.

Living this choice is not easy at all!. It takes patience, research, a strong ability to know you are making the right choice for yourself, and a willingness to learn to cook and try new foods!.

Once I really embraced trying to be a healthy vegetarian that opened a world of new foods to me that I have never tried or heard of!.

I am a thin person and physically very active!. The more active I am the more important a healthy diet is!.

And yes, I am happy every day that I do not eat animal products!. There are so many reasons why this is the only choice that makes sense for me!Www@FoodAQ@Com

The American Dietetic Association has said that "appropriately planned vegetarian diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases!." However, poorly planned vegan diets can be deficient in nutrients such as vitamin B12, vitamin D, calcium, iodine and omega-3 fatty acids!. These deficiencies have potentially serious consequences, including anemia, rickets and cretinism in children, and osteomalacia and hypothyroidism in adults!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, I do feel a bit happier, my skin seems healthier not pale, not weaker but have more motivation to get out and walk my dogs every morning, and as far as getting thinner I lost about 10 pounds and I have been vegan since June 1st of this year, I was hoping for more weight loss!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your doing something wrong!. My bf is a vegetarian and he doesn't have pal skin and he isn't weak!. He is the quarter back on our school foot ball teem!. He is a happy person, but I don't think that has to do with being a vegetarian!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
