Like some of the others said, it really depends on your eating habits!. I use the local farmer's market for a lot of veggies!. I'm also involved in a cooperative farm--I get free veggies as a trade for working on the farm a certain shift per month!. How active are you kids in wanting to delve into the vegan lifestyle!? If they're all for it, then I'd suggest doing something like this!. It gives a really hands-on bit of knowledge into self-sustaining food sources and the hard work it takes to put that food on the table!. I could imagine that if you decide to trade a lower price for a little more work, you could spend about a hundred bucks on food per week!. Look into your local cooperative options!. See if there's a vegan group in your area--helps to have a community!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I shop at Whole Foods and it can be expensive but if you are buying things you have to make yourself, it's probably cheaper than buying meats!. If you are buying pre-made organic/vegan it's probably more expensive than buying meats!
I spend about $120 a week for 1 adult and 1 child but I buy some packaged foods too which make my bill a little higher!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
