Why are vegetarians so full of angst?!
I've found that very few or no vegetarians can either take a joke, or smile!. What's that all about!?
A few smiles never hurt anybody!. Unless you have botox injections!.
I've seen Hitler smile and laugh more than I have vegetarians!.

I think it's unfair to generalize!. That's equal to saying that a certain race or religious belief does any certain thing, or doesn't do something!. That would be ridiculous to say, just like your question is to ask!. I'm a vegetarian and I'm the happiest person I know!. I smile a lot!. Well, the old thumbs down fairy is probably in comparing vegetarians to Hitler I'm afraid!. I'm not sure most people wouldnt like that comparison much!
Of course we veggies laugh, but many of us are also very tuned in with nature and the natural world, and seeing what humanity is doing to it is heartbreaking for many of us!. It just doesn't have to be that way!.

I am a vegetarian and a lot of people like to shove meat in my face or joke about how "chicken isn't meat" or 'jokingly' say that being a vegetarian is "stupid" I don't take it as a joke when either of those things are done!. I don't take vegetarianism as a joke!. I love animals and when I see meat I think of how they were tortured and slaughtered!. It's honestly just not that funny to me!.!.!. I don't sit around and preach to meat-eaters about how I think their eating meat is disgusting and immoral so I don't want a meat-eater preaching to me about how what I am doing is stupid and "not helping anyone!." it's helping me!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
they more than likely are upset when they realize no matter what they eat there is some form of animal involved!. think about it - the ground is full of those big bone animal who had the nerve to just drop dead anywhere!. the only way they can make sure they are not eating any form of animals is not to eat at all!. how can they smile when they know they are not true vegetarians!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I can't speak for anyone else, but I have been a vegetarian for 13 years and I am a pretty happy person!. Always smiling and in a good mood!. Maybe the vegetarians you've met are just unhappy people in general and the vegetarian thing is just a coincidence!? You have just come in contact with obviously people that have very strong beliefs I myself am a vegetarian along with many of my friends and we arent able to not take a joke!.
Depending on the person your around, dont judge all of the vegetarians or vegans, not everyones alike!.
